Exciting!  I think it all depends who's hosting the wedding if for example it's your parents then the wording would be something like:

Mr & Mrs                                   request the pleasure of ____________________________________ to celebrate the marriage of their daughter ______________________ to _____________________________ at____________________________ date ___________________________ time _______________________________________ followed by a reception at __________________________________________

Please rsvp to parents address by ______________________

if it's you then it would be:

________________________________ and _____________________________ request the pleasure of ____________________________ to celebrate their marriage at__________ and the same above with dates, address details of venues and times of course and different RSVP address.  You can find lots of different wording on the net but most importantly dates and times are helpful.

That's all I did for mine!  Has your staitionery company not got any wording samples?

Hope you get sorted./  Tracey xx

The only 3 i can think of to include as info are directions to the venue, information about rooms/prices at the venue or nearby hotel and information on gift lists. But im sure there's more.

  • Re: what info to include???

    Hello

This is the information we are usually asked to design/set for information pages:

Full address of venues including postcode for Sat Nav

    Directions and maps

Accommodation, including any special booking codes for venue packages

Venue restrictions eg no confetti, parking facilities, suitability for less able bodied  or small children

Menu choices if required to be chosen beforehand (inconjunction with an RSVP card)

    Nearby taxi ranks

    Gift list details

An RSVP deadline if required and not on main invitation part.

    Hope that helps

You're welcome - you probably won't need to state all the information I listed, but hopefully it'll help as a guide.  I'd say the most important is to always include a full venue address and postcode plus accommodation info, if required.

Im not going to bother putting directions in my invites at all.  i think most people should know where it is and for those who dont, well ther's sat navs. google maps ect!! and at worse, they can follow some1 from the church!

They can always contact you for directions later should they need them!
