I tried some baking with Izzy at the weekend and it went down really well. We made some banana and peanut butter muffins but I've never been a baking kind of girl so am struggling a little for inspiration! So what kind of things do you make with your toddler?

    TIA Thanks

We make fairy cakes a lot!  Easy and yummy, She also loves making pizza, try the recipe on the i can cook website.  We made the chocolate coca cola cake recipe from here tiwce last month, it was super yummy and we also make banana cake a fair bit.  Occasionally we make biscuits but I don't find them that yummy, although we have done choc chip cookies which were good.  Squdigy banana cookies are easy too, from memory, 2 ripe bananas, 100g oats, handful of raisins, 1tsp cinnamon and 1tsp ginger, basically mix it all together, shape into cookies and bake for 20-30 mins at 180, not so yummy for grown ups but the kids love them.

T is 19 months old and we made pizzas yesterday, he loved punching the dough and mixing it all up then putting the toppings on.  They were yummy too!

cookies or ginger bread? There are some great recipes on the bbc website! You could make ginger bread men then decorate them afterwards.

    Flapjacks

    Pizza

    Bread

    Cakes

She is nearly 3 now but loves helping to cook, so let her 'help' with preparing vegetables for meals and other jobs if suitable.

Well we've just made Nigella's clementine cake, really simple and only needs them to press the buttons on the food processor if you've got one, it's got 5 whole clementines in it too so I can kid myself that it's healthy!

Many thanks for all the suggestions, some lovely yummy ideas! I think I might investigate how to make an easy pizza base type thing as our next cookery 'thing' and hopefully she'd enjoy what she'd made afterwards!

    Thanks
