18 but I line the changing mat with them too (which basically means one gets wee-ed on at every nappy change!) as well as using them to mop up my drinks when they are spilt etc etc!

About 12, some were unopened though.

Used them for everything when he was tiny, always had two or three in my changing bag for various things (bibs, spills, changing mat substitute etc)

One of the best things is because they are so thin, they dry so quickly so overnight I could wash/dry them and then have them all ready for next day.

We had 12 I think, and always managed. I used to put one under his head to catch dribbles when BF, then always had one around when feeding as he was a sicky baby and I needed one to clear up. At one stage I had one in every room in the house! I also use them under long sleeve bibs round the neck to catch food dribbles after I found his tops got stained even with the bibs as juice would drip from fruit.

At 16 months I still almost always carry one. Somewhere along the way he's developed a muslin attachment and will always grab one if he sees one. One of his little friends also has the same and I have to make sure I have one with me if we're seeing her or they have muslin fights! He has a couple in the cot at night.

Oh yes!  And Aliya takes one to bed every night - she calls it her snuggly!  How could I forget that!  We've had to buy blue/yellow/green ones for Austin as she refused to let him use white ones as she claims them as her own!

We have about 12. White ones for milk but we only used them for burping until she was about 6 months old, and yellow ones for drying bums! x

We have about 6-8.  Never use them TBH.  Have used as emergency nappy and if at hand will use as bib/wiper etc but don't carry them as standard.  Until Ellen was about 6 weeks I used it as BF cover though and was like my comfort blanket!  I panicked if went anywhere without one!

I had about 10 for Jack - he was always bringing bits of his feed up and I'd use a few a day.   Poppy rarely brings any of her feeds back up so I've started to use some of the muslins as dusters/cleaning cloths - I'm using the plain white ones, all the ones with colour or patterns are for baby use only in case anyone worries about hygeine etc! I have 1 mulsin in my changing bag, but we have 3 changing bags stocked and ready to go, plus I have a muslin in the living room and a few in the playroom 'just in case' we need to mop anything up and one by the bed for when I'm feeding. I also use them for mopping up after Jack's mealtimes.

Well I'm with DDL and we have about 40 aswell. And we never seem to have any clean. We started with 30 and had to buy more from Sainsburys and again from Boots. N has become quite sicky and as we have no tumbledryer, keeping on top of them is almost impossible.

We also put them under his head on his changing mat, play mat, in his crib etc to save more cleaning.

I am obviously in the minority here as I have 5. Use mostly for wiping face. Having said that I have a small towel for bum drying and a couple of small blankets that often get used as emergerncy muslins.

I never got the need for loads of muslin thing either, we brought a pack of 10 and never ran out of them, I could have got by with about five to be honest, but I didn't seem to find all the  uses everyone else did, i only ever really seemed to use them when she wee'd everywhere at nappy changes!
