I use to buy Petit Filous when they were younger both of mine loved those.

Now I just buy normal yoghurts my 6 year old especially loves muller corner yoghurts, which obviously are no good for younger babies.

  • Re: which yoghurts

Not quite weaning yet but I suppose I should buy Petits Filous as I used to work for Yoplait, although they did make me redundant so maybe not.

Normally what is on offer, which is awful isn't it?! This normally ends up being petit flois (sp) or muller little stars. He had some fruit corner (they seem to do new kiddie ones?) The other day which he liked (he is 2 though) and sometimes I get the little character ones as a treat as he likes picking a character.

I buy Petit Filous as there's often an offer on, and I believe they have a higher calcium and vit D content (although that may be just because I have been swayed by their advertising!)  E certainly seems to enjoy them, and I like the fact there are a few flavours, so she doesn't get used to always having the same.

Normal Greek.  I think most yoghurts etc aimed at children are quite high in sugar?

  • Re: which yoghurts

I started buying Rachels but R would never finish the pot so a lot of yoghurt was being wasted! Now I get muller little stars purely because the pots are smaller!  There's more sugar in them though, so if you're not keen on the boys having sugar perhaps not the best brand - I tend to think sugar is okay in moderation!

  • Re: which yoghurts

B had the Little Stars fromage frais. I have bought Petit Filous when they are on offer and I did try Supermarket own brands a few times but they were really sweet, sickly sweet.

We tend to stick to fromage frais as he likes to open them himself and yoghurt comes out all over him Tongue Tied

He is also partial to a Toffee Mullerlight but my Mum buys them for him so I dont.

We have done this too, Ive bought plain yoghurt and added pieces of fruit. He loves watching the fruit being chopped up and mixed in and its not so high in sugar too.

Sainsbury's Kids range (esp the pouches as Bobble adores eating from pouches).

They are the only reasonably priced range (ie. not Rachels or Plum) that I've found that don't have added sugar.

Otherwise we tend to buy Rachels/Plum when on offer or just use plain yohurt with mushed fruit/puree mixed in.

  • Re: which yoghurts

I tend to use Greek yoghurt with fruit puree mixed in. It's the highest in calories which is important for us.

For fromage frais we buy Sainsbury's own  - as SL said they're one of the only ranges that doesn't have added refined sugar.

I buy Little Yoes by Yoe Valley, they may be a West Country thinhg though as they are based in Somerset & not sure if they distribute all over the UK.

They're same sort of price as Rachel's, so not nuch help really!
