I've just had the most wonderful half hour

The boys are recovering from nasty ear and throat infections and are sleeping a bit more than usual.

Joe was already asleep in his cot. David fell asleep in the Jumperoo. I didn't want to disturb Joe so decided to see if Davy would stay asleep in my arms... and he did. My two generally don't like to be held while they sleep, they won't be cuddled to sleep either. They like their own space in their own cot... perhaps 8 months in the womb made them appreciate space?

Anyway, it was just so lovely to hold my son while he slept and gaze upon his gorgeous face.

That's all I've done for the last half hour and I think I'll remember it forever.

How wonderful! J is 2 now and I still love it when he sleeps on me, it's the most warm and snuggly feeling in the world x

How lovely.  I miss those times.

How lovely! J never really slept on me & on the RARE occasion she did, I wouldn't move an inch for fear of waking her & the moment ending. It's wonderful isn't it!

Joe's the same - never falls asleep on me and doen't really cuddle 'into' me as he prefers to be facing out and observing, so on the very rare ocassions when I get a snuggly cuddle or he falls asleep on me, I adore it!
