  • cream dress, white shirt?

    Morning!

I think I have found the perfect dress, it made me feel gorgeous and my mum got quite emotional when I had it on. It's cream, which I think suits my skin tone better.

Because I'm thinking of wearing cream, does my other half have to wear a cream shirt? He suits white shirts really well but I am scared of clashes. I'm also scared of telling him to go for cream then he'll know something about the dress (I want him to know NOTHING!).

    The flowers/bridesmaid are red.

    Thoughts please!

My dress is ivory but OH will be in a white shirt...I personally don't think it matters, as he'll be wearing a waistcoat, so it's not like you'll see that much of his shirt iykwim

It really doesn't matter, think your OH should go in a white shirt.  I had a diamond white maggie and OH wore a white shirt.  The FGs had white dresses but you didn't notice on the day when they were standing next to me.

    Hi,

I am forever taking part in the cream/white shirt debate.  Sad

Personally I nearly always use a white shirt.  I think the sharp white collar and cuffs frame any colour of suit or waistcoat.  However sometimes people disagree with me and I cannot say they are wrong it is down to how each individual feels.

Have a look at some wedding suits as complete outfits, try to imagine how they would look standing next to your dress.  You will soon realise the shirt is the least of your worries.  Big Smile
