Hi Nixxy, finally back in after about an hour of trying - grr! Off in a few minutes to take J to my mum's then we're off to the hospital for our scan, so will report back later.

AFM, I'm doing not bad, got a stinking cold so feeling a bit sorry for myself but fine apart from that.  Not much to report babywise, although I suddenly seem to be expanding at a rate of knots!!  26 weeks today - it'll be 3rd tri before I know it, eek!!

AFM - All is well. Not only is my colleague peeing me off, but my boss is doing my nut in today! She NEVER says no when people ask her for stuff, so she just keeps piling on the work to me!!! Grrrr! HOWEVER, bubs is being extra wriggly the last few days, so as far as I am concerned, all is well

Hello everyone,

I have finally graduated to the 2nd Tri thread after what feels like forever of being on 1st Tri - my dates were put back 10 days and I found out I was pregnant very early.  I am over 14 weeks now so think I am now officially on the 2nd Tri.

A little bit about me - this is my second pregnancy. my little boy T is 18 months old and a real joy.  I work 2 days a week and already can't wait to go on maternity leave.  My first birth was, despite thinking I had the lowest pain threshold in the world, bearable - I managed on gas and air and water.  Hoping for a home birth this time as there is only one birth pool at our hospital and I really want the guarantee of water.

Margot - hope the scan goes well - let us know how it goes - are you finding out if its a boy or girl?

Cwilson - hope the cold gets better

Sshh - hope lunch was good

Splosh - bring on maternity leave - noone needs bosses giving extra work when there is all that online shopping to do!

Splosh - Your boss will learn the hard way when you are on ml and she has no one to do it all for her! (assuming that even if you have a replacement they won't be as good as you)

loulout - Welcome! I hope you get your home birth.  I had a homebirth with Izzy and I'm hoping for another one this time as well.

AFM - My boss took me out to lunch which was lovely.  There's a lot of upheveal at our place at the moment and we don't know if we will keep our jobs so it was nice to be out of the office stress for a while.  I'm 27 weeks tomorrow and I can't remember when I move to the 3rd trimester [dense icon needed].

AFM am okay, had lovely hitched mini-meet yesterday, am making S's CBeebies card today (how did she get to be three?!) and tomorrow have a photoshoot with a lovely Hitched bump model... Breathlessness still a PITA, plus I've also been referred without knowing to a Dr who specialises in mums who have had depression, so that will be interesting...

Anyway, Sausage is kicking beautifully, though now I worry that he's in distress. I am never doing pregnancy again...

Afm I am good, I'm 23 weeks today, I didn't think I looked that pregnant until a little old lady let me sit down on the bus saying my needs were greater than hers!  Bless!  I did feel slightly guilty because I could have just eaten all the pies!

Lots of movements, although I think they have worn themselves out and must be asleep after my large lunch. My mum is down this weekend and we are off to the baby show on saturday which should be good.

AFM - just waiting for the contracts to exchange so that we get a date. Seems to be taking forever! Baby is wiggly, which is lovely and we have our scan a week today! Can't wait!

Will keep you all posted with the house news, I really need to have that date now, MIL is starting to drive me INSANE!

afternoon ladies

sorry I've not been around for a while and I wont be able to do personals today

Basically, I've been on 2 weeks' of nights and during that time we've had a our bathroom remodelled and some upsetting family stuff. My sister has left her husband of 5 years. They have a little boy together who's 2...it's been terribly sad but thankfully it's quite amicable. I just hope it stays that way.

Also my best friend gave birth to her little girl, Phoebe Alice after 3 years of trying, the removal of an ovary and one failed attempt of IVF. I'm so pleased for her.

My bump is virtually non existent I can't wait for it to pop out. I can feel Rascal wriggling now and again - especially at night!

I hope everyone's ok, good luck for those with scans soon.

Nixxy - you're exactly a day ahead of me with everything - I've got my scan next Thursday!

Haha yeah mine too! Boobs that is. I don't mind them growing more as long as they don't ache!

People keep telling me that I'm blooming and look well, but the truth is I don't feel particularly fab! Could just be the stress I'm under at the moment though. Soon be over....

Other than that, I ache! My lower tummy is very sore, like period pains. Read up on it and it's all the stretching. Sleeping is hard work at the mo so I'll be investing in a preg pillow soon I think!
