  • What age did you take your child to the cinema for the first time?

    Hello all

Question is in the title really.  I know it probably depends on the child but was just wondering.  My little boy is almost 3 and he doesn't sit through a whole dvd at home but would it be different in a cinema?

he was 7 weeks old, we went to a mother and baby group at the cinema...he slept through twilight!  i had to stop taking him around 7months as he was no longer able to sleep throught it and wanted to be entrtained...

my friend has a 3rd old and she would just fall asleep at the cinema...its only recently now at the age of 4 she has stayed awake all the way through (they went to see up)

My son was able to sit through a movie at 3 - my daughter at just over 2

I'd love to take K (3 in May) to see Princess and the Frog but I think she'd be bored after all the adverts Laugh.  We have taken her to see ITNG at the cinema but that's only 30 minutes and to be honest, was long enough for her.  We took her when she was about 2 and again at 2.5.

I probably won't bother until she's about 4.  She does absolutely love Monsters Inc on DVD 'want Sully on' but doesn't sit and watch the whole thing (prob a good thing to be honest)!

I want to take E for selfish reasons really - I want to watch the films! i will wait until she is about 3-3.5 though or else it'll be a waste of money!

I started aking Izzy when she was about 2 1/2.  We go to the saturday monring shows where its only £1 each so it wouldn't matter if we had to leave, which hasb't happened yet.

We took Chase for his 4th Birthday.  He did get a bit fidgety and asked to leave a few times but we managed to get him to stay put.

I took him again a few weeks ago and it did manage a lot longer before asking to go home!

3 weeks old.  It was my first outing on my own with Zoe - it was to baby cinema though so perhaps doesn't count.

Apologies for lack of capital letters - Zoe has stolen my shift key Huh?

Just recently at 2.4 yrs and 3.7 years - to see toystory2 in 3D - it's a film they have both watched so many times at home.  They both enjoyed it, although neither of them would wear the 3D glassesCool

I took my LO this week to see the princess and the frog, she is 33 months, I made sure we didn't arrive until the film was actually starting, she was fine for about an hour and then started to wriggle but she did stay till the end and we had a great time.

How do you find out about baby cinema and sat morning films at the cinema...never thought about this but would be a nice idea...M is almost 3.5 but she does have a short attention span!
