My evening guests arrived at 7pm had our first dance at 8pm - my mil disappeared so we were late was meant to do it at 7:30pm. We then served the evening Buffet and 8:30pm.

Our venue advised me on 10pm which seemed really late but if you factor in ppl arriving late...8pm...settling in and getting a drink....9pm so 9.30/10pm for food seems about right. Also if your having a bigger meal for guests after ceremony like we are - gives them time to be hungry again lol!
