I am desperately trying to find some presents I can afford for my 1 daughters 1st birthday. I have bought her a wodden dolls house from ELC that was reduced right down and really that is about all, but even that is meant to be for 3 years plus. I cant afford to go out and buy her loads of stuff but i want to get her some nice things as my little boy was spoilt rotten for his first birthday. Things are different now and we just cant afford it.

So, if you are trying to offload girls toys then I might be interested. I want her to have toys of her own instead of just playing with Charlies.

    Thanks in advance xx

Where in the uk are you? I think Netmums is normally a good bet as its local you can get to see the items before you buy them, and normally stupidly cheap and no postage to pay!

I got Evie books, and musical instruments IIRC x

Thanks, will have a look through hot deals. Its particularly girly things I want so they are seperate from Charlies toys. So far i cannot find anything on ELC as I am on a really really low budget here. I only have 2 weeks of tax credits to get her something and that money has to feed all 4 of us aswell. thats why i am looking into 2nd hand as its got to be just a few pounds really

Oh right ok, erm, Netmums then, or charity shops. I get E loads in charity shops as long as they are in good condition!

I have a mamas and papas rag doll which Louisa never really took to - I bought it in the autumn because it was suitable from birth but the rag dolls we have (a LOT of - my mum got carried away) have woollen hair so I was worried about her with those and wanted a more appropriate baby one but she prefers the woolly ones and now she is coming up 1 anyway I seem to have wasted my time as she has never played with it. might be on their website - in a wintery top, skirt, gloves, scarf etc, berry I think it was called - er not got it handy - 10inches high? ish

would be light to post so could sell and post it to you for very little if you would be interested. machine washable (has been washed - I washed it when I bought it because she was little - so looks a bit more used than it is if that makes sense)

i think it is really sweet. PM me later - got to go in a mo so won't be back around until this evening.

    I wouldn't bother.  Seriously.

We bought loads of toys for Zoe for her first birthday 2 weeks and most of them haven't even been unwrapped yet.

The dolls house will be fab, she really doesn't need anything else.

Apologies for lack of capital letters - Zoe has stolen my shift key Huh?

I think its the guilt kicking in cos most of her christmas stuff was 2nd hand - charity shop/car boot etc. Both of my kids love charity shops, but the right things just havnt been there lately - typical!!

I just want to spoil her like my son has been up till now. I know she wont care, but I do.

ill just have to keep trawling ebay. Looked on netmums but nothing suitable unless she needs a mobile phone, wedding dress or double buggy lol!!ROTFL

If anyone else has anything Id be glad to hear about it.

I'll try to look up the ragdoll, thanks :)
