Banzy - congratulations and welcome to the 1st tri thread.  

AFM - it is scan today for me today! Hooray and eeeek all at once.  Sickness has eased but I am still on the anti-sick tablets.  I seem to be developing  a bump already - will have to dig out the maternity clothes at the weekend I think.

Loulout, please come back on here to let us know how the scan went! I had a look at my old maternity clothes and they are 2 sizes too small :-(. I never managed to lose my post birth belly and I don't even want to think about the work I will need to put into getting back into some kind of shape next year, but hey, one thing at the time. So I will need to do some clothes shopping at some stage...

Banzy, welcome and congrats!!

AFM, I called the mw directly but got through to her department instead, in that mw led hospital I mentionned before. the lady I talked to was ever so helpful: she took all my details, left a message for the mw for me, and said she would chase the surgery and Royal Berks on my behalf. She said she will give me a call back soon to give me an update. Hopefull the nice mw I saw last week will return my call and we'll sort this out soon. I am seeing my boss tomorrow and i'm wondering if I should tell her. My husband would probably tell me to wait for the scan and he may be right (don't ever tell him I said so.. lol).

AFM - i feel really tired and worn out today. I have a horrible cough and cold and only got about 3 hours sleep last night. I'm due to be going away with work today but i've decided not to go, last thing i need right now is to be stuck in a hotel room tonight on my own not being able to sleep!

Right, the mw called the hospital to chase my paperwork and called me back to confirm it was now all ok. I just need to call them tomorrow to book the scan and the tests. I knew she was great that mw! :-)

Afternoon, sorry Ive not been on for a while we are moving house on thurs and lifes been mad.

Loulout- hope the scan goes well - let us all know how it goes. glad your sickness is easing.

Sukily- hope the mw has got back to you. It annoying waiting around for other people.

Banzy- congrats. hope you have manged to get some sleep and that yourcough is getting better.

AFM- the sickness has kicked in feeling sick all the time and being sick a few times a day. Strangely pain du chocolate and ice buns settle well so thats what Im now living on. Still havent heard from the mw- i went to the Drs 2 weeks ago now, fairly certain last time I saw her i was 8weeks gone. Think I will start  chasing once we have moved house.

Helooooo...

Back from the scan, it was lovely, bug was bouncing about waving and kicking and very active.  I was amazed that to me he looked quite different to T at the same scan.  I am not sure why but I was expecting them to look pretty much the same.  Due date is 17th August so I am 13 weeks today.  Feel a bit sad that H has had to go straight to the airport to fly to NY and so have noone to celebrate with.  Will try and scan the photo in a bit - involves finding and wiring up the scanner so it may be a while.

Corkhead - I feel for you on the sickness - go with whatever you fancy eating - for me it is full fat coke and avocodos?!, and try sniffing lemon peel it really really helps me.  Good luck with the move, and don't feel scared of chasing it is much better to get chasing early than miss the screening scan window.

LOulout- great news about the scan. Glad all went well.  Cant wait to see a pic.

Avocodos and coke- the sound of them makes me feel sick. Its strange what stays down isnt it. I'll get H to get some lemons on they way home I'll try anything! I wearing travel sickness bands as they take the edge of it. R has his MMR next tues so will chase the drs then- as i know the mw will be at the surgery the next day.

Loulout!!! How lovely!! I'm so pleased for you, you really made my day It is a shame your husband has to go away but it gives you another excuse to celebrate in style when he's back! Looking forward to seeing the pic!

Corkhead, I feel for you too. I've had non stop nausea for weeks and it only just starts to calm down (a bit). I could only manage pasta and ham for a while, then it was only freshly cooked veg.. Take it easy too, stress doesn't help.

Sukily- thanks I had MS really bad with my little boy (constant till 20ish weeks, than on and off i was even sick in the deivery suite). I washoping the "no two pregances are the same" was true. I now think its a big lie! Ive lost 3lb already well it save losing it after the baby is here! Glad yours is easing off it so nice when you feel like eating and not being sick.
