Morning all,

Hope everyone is well. 

I am feeling much better today - thankfully my cold didn't turn any worse as I have a busy week ahead. Had a productive if long day at work yesterday and feel like I am might be getting somewhere with regards to getting things ready for my maternity cover (if they would ever decide officially!)

off to the hospital in an hour.  Have had a terrible night as the small person was sick every where from coughing so much .  My ribs hurt from coughing loads too.

I get the feeling i'm going to cough and sneeze through today again.

CD - Glad to hear you are feeling better today.  Glad to hear things are getting sorted for your maternity leave.

Sparkling - sorry to hear that you are feeling so poorly, and Eleanor too!  Hope that you are both on the mend soon!  Good luck at the hospital today - I hope that everything is ok!

AFM - well, very tentatively I *think* my labour might be starting properly....  I've been having contractions since 5am, 10 mins apart (as they have been for 3 weeks!) but they are MUCH stronger, and i've walked around, eaten, drunk, laid down, bounced on my ball, been to the loo twice and so far they haven't stopped.  SO this is the final test - having now "officially" stated that I think baby might be on the way, in theory it should all stop again as per usual!

I'll keep you posted either way, and if it is labour, then Snowball is my PP!

AFM - nothing much to report really.  No pains, aches etc (apart from the usual hip/pelvic pain in bed). No plans for today except relax and stay in the house.

Hi, just popping on quickly as still in bed and on my phone. CD- glad you are feeling better. Sparkling- good luck today and hope the cold shifts soon. SS- oh I really hope so! Good luck. Afm- well had my grandads funeral yesterday and didn't realuise how much it had actually upset me (its a long family history story) and as it was the first funeral I have ever been to it was very overwhelming. Tbh just glad its over now. Baby still fidgeting lots, I've been having lots of (tmi) clear outs the last couple of days and baby feels really low. Also a bit of cramping on and off. I was 37 weeks yesterday, so we DTD last night, but it hasn't kick started anything yet! T has a bit of a cough and got us up lots last night (hence me still being in bed!) H uis off so got up with him. Not much planned for today, but off to parents evening at t's nursery this evening, which is always nice. Ill be back on later. Hi to everyone else, and baby out vibes to tabs.

Thank you everybody for your congratulations! 

WOW I can't believe he's here, he's bloomin' gawjuss and we have all fallen so totally, totally in love with him. The name is still a bit of a sticking point . Isaac and I want to call him one name and Mr Woo loves another......but I promise you a decision will be made soon At the moment he is 'little Squidge'

 

I cannot believe what a fantastic labour and birth I had with him. I feel great, just a little tired. I'm just starting to write it all down now while it is fresh in my mind still.....some of it I cannot believe I am writing to be totally honest with you. 

He breastfeeds well and is obviously a boob man like his big brother was. Sleeping........ah well he obviously hasn't read any Gina Ford books whilst he was in there but I'm sleeping when he does and the combination of a bedside cot so we are sort of co-sleeping and on me whilst I doze has got us through the night. The sling has been my saviour this morning getting up and getting Isaac to school as Mr Woo has had to go back to Bury St Edmunds for work. 

Thank you everyone for your support in getting us here so that we have this precious, precious little boy. Back in April I never imagined that I would ever feel this happy and content again  

 

Now come on Starstruck and Tabs we need those babies out......Squidge needs some playmates!

Wodgerwoo:- ahh your post made me go all , Im so glad that you had such a positive birth experience I look forward to reading your story. Im looking forward to hearing the name and seeing pictures of the new man in your life.

Me: FED UP….Work is really stressing me out and Im feeling very incompetent and like I really CBA with any of it, no maternity cover has been arranged for me and as it stands I have a case load of 30 children who will need follow up/support and I just feel like as soon as I get on top of things something else is dumped from a great height. In addition my hips are becoming increasingly more uncomfortable which I think is due to the side sleeping and extra weight, Im not sleeping very well and have been tossing and turning to try and do an even stint on each side but when I woke up this am Im waddling like Ive had a red hot poker up my bum- not a good look! On the positive Im going away with H on Friday for a romantic weekend for Vday/Anniversary (though its not until may 30^th- but the baby will be teeny so will probably just have a little family lunch) so only 2 days left at work….!

Morning all

CD - glad you are feeling better and that the work thing is going more positively.  Honestly, it's not as if we don't give them enough notice of needing maternity cover is it - you'd think they'd pull their fingers out a bit!  You told yours fairly early IIRC like I did - i.e. before the 25 weeks when you 'have to' tell them.

Sparkling - sorry to hear you're so poorly and E as well.  Good luck for your scan later today - I'll be thinking of you

Starstruck - hooray!  I really really hope that you have not invoked the law of sod by telling us but surely it should be your time by now?  Hopefully all that on again/off again that's been going on has been preparing the way for you to have a lovely easy labour - you're having a home birth I think?  Keep bouncing on that ball!

Tabs - baby out vibes for you too, hopefully you and Starstruck will be birth day buddies?!  Enjoy your relaxing day, think dilation!

Mrs HWL - sorry to hear about the funeral, these things are never easy but more so when there's 'history'.  Hopefully you can have a nice relaxed day and enjoy the parent's evening tonight.

Wodger-woo - lovely to see you and congratulations again!  I'm so glad you had a happy ending as I know it was such a worrying time for you.  Take care and enjoy your snoozes with your new boy, looking forward to hearing the name whenever it's decided (can you not play the labour card?!).

AFM - well I had a rotten night's sleep last night.  No particular reason, just was aware of waking a lot - going straight back to sleep again but I think it was probably stopping me having that good quality bit of the sleep cycle as I feel broken today.  MrSC said he was aware of me being quite disturbed and making funny noises!  Not helped by realising our radiator was leaking this morning and having to pull up floorboards and generally fret, which started the day off badly.  Other than that not much to report really - we went to Homebase to choose wallpaper for the nursery and to Carpet Right to think about carpets (obviously!) but MrSC wants to have a go at smoothing the walls so we don't have to wallpaper so it's all up in the air at the moment.  Ho hum.

kittyboo - missed you there.  Sorry you're stressed at work, it's a real pain when they don't take on board what needs to happen before you go on leave! Hope you enjoy your romantic weekend anyway, we're having ours next weekend as we're going away and staying in a hotel while we visit friends - two birds, one stone and all that!  Our anniversary is 5th May and the baby's only likely to be a few weeks old at that point so I don't hold out great hopes that there will be time or inclination for romance!

MrsHWL:- sorry I missed you there! Sorry to hear about your grandad, funerals can be so overwhelming, i hope that your feeling okay today. x

SC99:- I think broken sleep can be just as bad as no sleep and waking up to a leaky radiator, like you say not the best start of the day. Your weekend away sounds nice, definately a bonus in getting the friends in too- I hope its a good one.

kirtsty:- Hope the walk gets things moving for you...try some star jumps! ..

A quick one from me today as I have the children, but they are napping :) , went to yoga yesterday which was good and decided to sign up for another 6 weeks as it just helps me to relax, the teacher took pics of us which are well funny too.... hard day today though William woke up all night, took him to gp yesterday as he developped a rash, but the go said it is link to the teething and cold, he looks a real mess but he is ok appart from waking all night hence us not sleeping well ! the LO I look after has a cold too so JOY oh Joy , but well tomorrow is my last day ( eek) Baby is moving well, getting bigger and bigger, I feel like I will explode !!!
