Completly off topic with the wine (well done on that by the way) but you have just given me an idea about cheese course and cake with coffee. I personally dont like cheese but it seems that everyone else I know thinks I am mad and loves it. its a bit of a standing joke in our family that whenever me and sister with our OH's go around to Mum and dads, Mum always appears out of the kitchen with a full, beautifully made cheeseboard and a bottle of port under her arm. I seriously dont know how much she spends on it as she just always seems to have the most amazing selection of cheese on hand if we drop in!
Also, I am thinking the cake is probably not going to get eaten if it is just cut after speeches and left out on buffet....
