I think you were being kind to the stranger and keeping personal information private. Neither are something to feel guilty about.

As others have said, is there a right answer to the question? Only the one that feels best for you at that moment in time.

O Pip I just want to throw my arms around you and give you the biggest hug. Im sure Theo would understand your reasons, I know that doesnt make it any easier and take away the guilt you are feeling. It must be a very hard situation to be in and you only have a split second to think of your answer, I really dont know what to say to make things a little easier but im sending you loads of hugs

Thank you everyone. I feel I keep taking from here but it's keeping me at least half sane. Guess everything's just coming to a head now in many ways.

I cant imagine what it must be like for you and when I read your OP I just wanted to give you a big inadequate .. You dont take from here Pip Imo your someone who gives great advice and are a fab hitcher and give more than you take...please dont be too hard on yourself..

i think it was a perfectly understandable answer - its not exactly something you want to get into with a random at the bus stop. you shouldn't feel guilty for doing what you had to in order to protect your emotions and I'm sure Theo would understand that - he wouldn't want to see his mum upset. oh Pip, don't feel guilty, we all know T is your first baby, strangers on the street mean well, but hv no ay of knowing what you and Mr Pip have ben through. This does not mean you love Theo any less

Random encounters are difficult enough - do you 'share and scare', or do you say what they want to hear and get the conversation over? I don't have the answers, I don't get it right still x

I can totally understand your feelings. Over 2 years later I still feel guilty if I say Ella is my first child. Like Macca the answer I give depends on the situation and how strong I'm feeling.

i don't think you need feel guilty.  Somethings the general public don't need to know.  I would have done the same.  I lie a lot about Eleanor even when she's there.  People don't need to know why she's small etc etc.

Pip  it must be so hard for you. I had a similar conversation with a friend of mine who lost twins at 24 weeks a few years ago, When she was pregnant with her daughter she said the same she felt guilty but just couldn't manage the conversation with  a stranger. You haven't forgotten Theo at all - he is your special first and always will be.

Theo knows that he's your first and always loved little boy.  The fact that some lady doesn't know about him doesn't change anything.

Nothing else to add that hasn't already been said. There isn't a shred of doubt in my mind that you don't love Theo every bit as much as Pipetta, or any other mini-pip.
