How old was your LO when they had first haircut!

Ive booked my Lo in to get his hair cut tomorrow he is only 6 months but his hair is soo long. Stangers keep telling me what a lovely little girl i have. Really didnt thnk i would be taking him for a haircut so soon.

We gave M a quick trim at home at about 8 months. His 1st cut by a hairdresser was at about a year old.

Emily was 9mths, she had lots of hair which stuck straight up (very Jedward!) I was gutted after though and cried, I hated it. It went all flat and she looked so different! She is now 22mths and has beautiful thick hair which curls at the bottom now though.

Mollie is 3.5yrs and has only ever had her fringe cut, her hair just takes forever to grow.

Thanks for the replys i just realised that i wil lbe sad when he gets it cut hadnt really thought about the fact he will look different.

B probably wasn't much older than that and I did it myself. At 20 months he is yet to visit a hairdresser but I have to cut it every couple of weeks, and I let it grow quite long in between.

C has never had hers cut.  She was bald though until about 13 months.

BTW I've kept some of his first locks which OH said made me seem like a serial killer or something. They are a good two inches long so I had let his hair get very long especially as I didn't shave his hair off!

I was going to keep some of his hair too but my H thought it woud be weird men eh!

About 8 1/2 months - his fringe was in his face/eyes, so when H went for a cut, we took T along. It did make him look really different. He's had another trim already (less than 6 weeks later).

O was 19 wks when he went to a hairdresser for the 1st time!!!  His hair had been really long for some time - it was in his eyes and was really long at the back and sides.  I too was worried about how he'd be, but he was brilliant.  He sat on my knee and smiled the whole time.

He looked so much better afterwards!!

Zoe has just turned one and has had two trims, both done by me at home as it's only the back that needs doing.   Think the first one was around 7 months and then one yesterday.

B was born at the start of Oct and he had his first hair cut in January so about 14 or 15 weeks I suppose.  He was born with loads of hair though and never lost any.  My hairdresser did it and she was amazing at whipping the scissors away at the right moment.

I don't think R will get hers cut so early despite having lots of hair too, it doesn't seem so important for a girl!

Alex had his fringe trimmed at about 13 months. He's just had a second trim at 15.
