Morning Hannah! Hooray for a new computer!

Nothing much to report here, slept (which is enough of a story) though had unsettling dreams, bah. Never mind!

    Morning both.

Hannah - Yay for new PC

Madonna - Yay for sleep. Hope you get more tonight, but without bad dreams!

AFM - Took J to the NHS walk in centre last ngiht because she still had the rash. Doc said it was probably just viral & not to worry about it. It's not contageous, so she's in nursery again today. Prescribed some piriton equivelent, so hopefully it'll start to go down now. It's still there this morning, but not quite as red. Nothing to report ont he baby front. Had a few small flutters, but nothing regular. Saying that, I'm so busy/stressed that I don't really get time to sit & concentrate on them. MW next Tues though, so hopefully I can hear the Love & put my mind at ease that all is well.

    Good Morning!

Hi Hannah, glad you are well and that you are back online! I only started to feel regular kicks this week and it is especially noticable as the baby has streched out and found my bladder with its feet! I predict that you will be running to the loo once an hour as well next week. Laugh

Hi Madonna! Hurrah for getting some sleep! Stoopid dreams. I dreamt I gave birth to a kitten instead of a baby and it was a nightmare trying to get it to sit in the highchair and keep its bib on.

Im feeling OK, had about 6 hours of undisturbed sleep last night!

The hospital sent me a DVD with a virtual tour of the maternity ward/birthing rooms etc and it looks lovely! It is only a few years old, so they have 4 massive rooms with birthing pools in each room, 4 other rooms with their own loo/shower, birthing balls, a view,  flatscreen TV's and DVD etc and loads of other cool stuff! So fab!

Hi Splosh, take it easy and try not to stress too much! I know it is easier said than done, but try to find time to relax as well. Hope J gets better soon!

Hi Max, take a urine sample with you to the midwife, they will just check that and your blood pressure and listen to the baby's heart! Good Luck!

    Morning ladies.

Off to drop C at nursery soon then up to the hospital for the scan.  I'll update later.  Am feeling groggy as C slept until about 7.20 this morning, which is unheard of.

Hi Everyone – hope you are all keeping well. I haven’t been online for a while as work was crazy and every evening when I get home from work I have dinner and go straight to bed as I am so tired !

Can’t believe time is flying by so quickly – I’m already 15 weeks on Saturday.

In the last few weeks we had a nuchal scan which showed that the baby is healthy (as far as you can tell) and that its going to be a boy!!  Very exciting.

I have told my boss and drawn up a plan for maternity leave and when I plan to come back to work next year. We are only 4 people so it needs to be planned!

I’m definitely getting a bump and wore my maternity jeans yesterday for the first time. I felt like a bit of a fraud but they are so comfy!!!

Does anyone else have any experience with a feeling on ‘’pressure’’ on your bladder – I need to go straight to the loo when I need to pee or otherwise it starts to nearly hurt – is this normal? I’m a bit worried that maybe I have a bit of a bladder infection. Or is this the baby squashing it already? Appreciate any feedback there!

Anyway – that’s mostly everything from me.  Fill me in on all the gossip!

    Hi all,

Have to be a quickie, work is being a PITA at the mo, could happily start Mat Leave right now. Hope everyone's ok. Wish I could wave a wand and give you all at least one good nights sleep...

Just wanted to know when everyone first felt movements - I'm sure I could feel something rustling about in there last night/this morning when I was lying quietly in bed, maybe it's just because I've felt it before so am a bit more convinced it's Bubs. But 14+3 is a bit early surely? Maybe it's just really ferocious wind Laugh

hannah - good to see you on here. I had days like that a while ago when baby wasn't moving for ages, and then some days, s/he never stops! Glad you're well otherwise.

madonna - sorry you're still suffering from sleep related problems, hope it settles soon.

splosh - hope J's rash goes soon but that's good it doesn't appear to be serious.

max - good luck at your m/w appointment, she might want you to bring a urine sample, mine always does! Otheriwse she will check your blood pressure and check the baby's heartbeat so that's always nice!

nightowl - meant to get back on yesterday to say thanks for the link to the Paris D/w thread. I have made a list of places we want to see and where they're located but will look at that as well. And back to you, woo hoo for 6 hours of sleep, lol! Your hospital sounds lovely, is that rivate or NHS?

conanetta - good luck at the hospital!

sue - so glad to see you on this thread, even though I'll be on the third tri as from tomorrow! Maternity jeans are great, much more comfy than regular jeans. I got a pair of great next maternity jeans from ebay for £4 - they were second hand but great quality, look fab and lovely elasticated bits! I always have pressure on my bladder too, I'm off to the loo about 8 times a day, and I hate the night visits!

sshh - i didn't feel what I knew was a proper kick toill about 20 weeks but I felt some movements before that like bubbles but I suppose it must have been the baby. I'm sure it is for you too and not just wind......

Me - Saw midwfe yesterday and my blood pressure was normal depite having a stressed week so that was good. I asked my midwife about the pains I've been getting on my right side after walking and she said it's due to my ligaments stretching and then when she felt my bump, the baby's laying more on my right side as well which expplains it. I'm gonig to have to take it easy walknig around in Paris this weekend, I get aches and pains after just 5-10 mins walking! Lots of stops for cake I think!

When I got into work after the midwife yesterday, my work had decorated my desk for my 30th birthday as I'm not going to be in tomorrow or monday (my birthday's sunday) and then they took me for a surprise lunch which was lovely. I won't miss the stressful workload or the communting on maternity leave, but I will miss some of the lovely people I work with. Not long to go now really......

Well I'll be off to third tri after today so wishing you ladies the very best over the enxt few weeks and hope to see you there soon xxx

Hi everyone! My first post on the 2nd trimester thread today Big Smile

Everything is going well so far, except i can't seem to get hold of my midwife! I'm supposed to be arranging some blood/urine tests with her which we agreed would be performed after the 12 week scan which was last week! I've phoned her 3 times this week but her mobile is always switched off. I've left messages but she hasn't got back to me yet. I hope she'll phone today <sigh>

    morning everyone.

couldn't post earlier for some reason.

yesterday was horrendous - audiology was a disaster as Eleanor just wouldn't comply at all.  I was so so so so cross.

    Midwife was fine yesterday too.

not much else to say about me other than I'm careering towards the 3rd trimester and I still feel fine!

Daydreamer have fun in the 3rd trimester I hope to be joining you soon.

    love to all!

Just a quick one from me as I'm really busy at work so sorry for the lack of personals.

I'm in pain.  A lot of pain.  Crying has become a daily ritual.  But baby is kicking well and other than the pain everything is fine.  Can't believe how far on I am and still can't quite take it in that there's actually going to be a baby at the end of this pregnancy.

  • Re: **Thursday 2nd Tri**

Bonjour from Paris just wanted to let you all know that my 20 weeks scan went very well and both twins are growing well. I'm so relieved. Also heard that my bro and sil got a bfp this morning which made me cry whilst sat on the eurostar. It's fantastic news because they have been through the same infertility journey as us and she also had a frozen embryo transfer Anyway off now to explore Paris. Sorry for lack of personals I'm on iPod touch. Take care ladies mrs cee>

Hello everybody who came on later and good luck to everybody with scans and appointments today!

Daydreamer, Im glad it went well at the midwife! Take it easy in Paris, take the Metro everywhere(or a green hop on/off sightseeing bus, they are brill)...dont even attempt climbing up (inside, to the top of) Sacre Coeur, Norte Dame or Arc de Triomphe, it is way to steep and far/high! I got a stich and thought I was going to die climbing up them before I was pregnant! Laugh

Happy Birthday in advance and enjoy Paris! Definitely try to go to the restaurant I recommended, "L'Ambassade d'Auvergne". The food was lovely and it was all very reasonable priced. (They did have the menu in English as well if you need that.) Try Aligot there if you get the chance, it is like an (extremely) cheesy, garlicky mash! Their version of bangers and mash was divine!

See you in the Big Girls Club soonish!
