Wedding dress size question

Hi, I've seen a Maggie Sottero dress for sale and it's a US size 6 - i'm guessing that's a UK size 8. It has a corset back so can accomodate a bigger size but I'm wondering if anyone has a smaller size dress than they are (or just tried one on in the shop) and if it fits ok? Does the corset back look ok? I'm usually a size 10-12 and would love to squeeze into this dress!! I'm on a diet so will hopefully lost the flab in the right places lol!

Be careful, try one on in the shops first and see what size it is and how it fits.  I'm normally an 8, but my wedding dress measures at a 6.  Most people say they come in small sizes, mine was big.

I went for a maggie one- I'm a ten and the 10 in the shop fit quite nicely- I reckon having lace-up corset helps x

My dress isn't Maggie but mine was too big when it came into the shop(same size as i normally wear) I would recommend trying one on if you can,just to be safe

No, mine is Alfred Angelo.  Definitely try one on.

All the dresses i have tried and beleive me i have tried loads have all come up small - im a ten and the size 12's were tight!

I depends on the style and make of the dress, mine is a Mori Lee and I actually ordered a size bigger to get the longer length.

When I found my dress I tried the one in the shop on, it was an 8. I'm a size 12. Its tricky though as some "come up bigger" and some "smaller" Can you try it on?

i would try on as some designers make them bigger and some make them smaller!!

i am a size 6 and my dress is in a size 6 and its huge!! not a happy bunny!

its a lot of money to part with if its not perfect......most shops let you go in and try on anyways
