April wedding - what do you think?

My wedding was 23rd May 09 and the weather was touch and go! It was fine for the photos but really windy and then rained when we sat down for dinner so we just managed to miss it.

Don't plan your wedding around the weather because you just never know when you live in Britain. x

Hey don't worry about the gardens! April's better than May cos you still have all the spring stuff around! In May the spring flowers are over and the summer flowers haven't appeared yet. I'd go for the 23rd.

Thanks to everyone for all the advice! I feel very reassured now!

We've decided to go for the April date. The venue is a lot prettier inside so there'll be plenty of good photo ops even if the weather is bad. I agree - we'll have enough to worry about without worrying about things we can't control and it seems silly not to book my first choice just because of the date.
