Morning all, I cant believe im starting the thread this morning, hopefully that means you all had a good nights sleep. I couldnt see another thread on here.

I have nothing planned today so a nice relaxing day ahead, may possibly have a nap, I slept ok but not great. I used a blanket under my hips and that really worked, I didnt wake up once with dead hips just dead arms Laugh

Am having a bit of trouble with B at the moment. Bedtime is awful at the moment, I think she is just testing the boundries but I have to stop it before Biscuit comes along.

Hope you all have a good day and havent had to much snow overnight, once again we have had none. Baby out vibes to all those that need them.

    Morning everyone

Zoe- can you put a blanket under your shoulders and hips? Sorry you haven't had much sleep hopefully B will settle down soon.

AFM - Midwife went fine yesterday H managed to come aswell seen as her was off work. My urine was clear so that was a weight off my mind everything is fine. Almost had a accident in the car last night going to my mums. Ended up sliding down the hill after putting my brakes on stopping for a car. I missed his car by about 6 inches.

Anyway i'm fine and slept better last night.

    Morning everyone Wave

I started a post at exactly the same time as you Zoe!  I can't work out how to delete mine though.  Anyone know?

Thought I would reply to the last few personals on yesterday's thread:

Twiglet girl - Wave hello and welcome to the 3rd trimester!  It's not that scary over here apart from seeing your name go near to the top of the due date list!

CharlieDaisy - glad you managed to get to work safely x

Pebbles - sorry to hear you are feeling low Hug  The loss of a baby is so sad.  Hope you (and your work friend) are OK xx

    From today's post -

Zoe - glad you had a better night's sleep and I hope that you enjoy your relaxing day!

Mozarella - oh no, poor you.  Hope the headache and dizziness goes soon.  Is it worth calling the m/w?  You are 'supposed' to get the hospital bag ready from 36 weeks - it's my priority task over the next couple of days!

Lea8 - glad the m/w appointment yesterday went well and that everything is fine.  How scary though with the near-miss, yikes!

Baby out vibes to Peach, Meggy and good luck to Loulou for tomorrow (although that then puts me to the top of the list EekLaugh)

AFM - I managed to get out of the house yesterday (hoorah!).  Only into town but it felt good to get some fresh air and see different sights to the 4 walls of my house!  I ache from walking around town now though - can't win Laugh

Moz - I have a few things coming in my shopping tonight for my hospital bag, I really want to start it now but I have to wait until the end of the month (until I have some money).

Good luck with Physio today hope it helps.

Lea - Glad MW went well and your urine was clear. Its awful when you nearly have an accident, it happened to me the other day but mine was due down to a male driver thinking he had more right than me on a dual carriage way, very scary, I had to swerve back into my lane as he sped up as I was leaving my lane, if it was icy I would have gone into the bank for sure. At least you missed the car and no one was injured.

I will see how I sleep tonight as its the first time I have had dead arms and then start trying different things.

Tabs - Its always the way, I was sure I was going to duplicate the thread, lol. You can delete the other one by going to the right hand side on the option tabs, right next to where it says reply it should say EDIT go into there and delete everything that you have written, on the header just put in a full stop. Thats how I delete things but someone may know how to do it properly.

    Morning all!

Zoe - Glad to hear that you had a better sleep last night and that the blanket under your hips did the trick (at least with that part of the pain!).  I can totally sympathise with your LO being a nightmare at bedtime, it seems to be the first thing that goes out the window with Aliya as soon as anything upsets her (Daddy being away/moving house/being ill etc), hope you get it sorted!

Moz - Have you taken anything for the headache?  Perhaps some paracetemol would help?  Hope that you have some success with the physio later.  ANd well done - you just made me realise that I need to pack a "just in case" bag for Aliya!  I hadn't even thought about it!

Lea - Yay! that your urine was clear yesterday - such a relief!  Hope you are OK after your near miss yesterday - the roads up here were really icy as well.

Tabs - Lovely that you managed to get out of the house yesterday, it makes such a difference just to get some fresh air and a change of scenery.  Hope you have a lovely day today,

AFM - Well, there was a little bit of excitement in the Starstruck household yesterday - when we were off to the Cranial-sacral therapist I had my first really strong, crampy BH (so far they have just been tight, but this one was crampy as well which is how things started with Aliya), that would have been just before 1pm, I then carried on having them - regular but quite far apart - about 1 every 30mins - ALL AFTERNOON!!  I eventually fell asleep at 1am, but basically I had 12 hours of them!  Having been up now for about 45 mins they seem to have stopped but I did have  a bit more of a show this morning.  Of course, i'm completely tempting fate by even reporting this and will no doubt be sat here in desperation in 6 weeks time!! lol

Saw my MW yesterday morning, I think she has become my new best friend she is so lovely!  There as no protein in my urine (YAY!) and baby has started to move down and was 1/5th engaged yesterday.

The C-S therapist was, well quite frankly amazing, although I have very little understanding about what actually happened during the session.  He barely touched me, just very very light contact on a couple of places on my back, my head and one on my bump.  By the end of my session, my hips felt free-er, the front pelvic pain was there still but I think it has improved overnight, and the weirdest thing happened at the front of my bump.  I felt like i'd had a really strong BH that had released, except I only had the release part, not the actual BH!!  The only way I could describe it to Mr S was to imagine that you clenched your fist and then relaxed it again, it was like getting that relaxed feeling, but without having clenched it in the first place.  Very very weird, but it was fabulous to feel like there was suddenly more room in my bump!

Hope that everyone has a good day, and lots of BABY OUT vibes heading to Meggy and Peach!

    Morning all,

zoe - glad that the blanket under your hips worked, shame about the dead arms!! Enjoy your relaxing day

moz - sorry you are feeling rough again - hope the headache and dizziness passes so you can get to physio. I have pretty much bought everything for hospital bag - just don't actually have a bag (or two to put everything in!)

Lea8 - I am glad your urine is clear, its so good to have a clear sample after the worry with something in it from the previous appt.

Tabs - glad you managed to get out and about yesterday. Hope the achiness doesn't last

SS - oh how exciting, fingers crossed its the start of something. Your c-s appt sounds intriguing, hope it works and you are feeling less achey and painful.

AFM - seem to have developed pain in my hips but at the moment it just feels like I have worked too hard in the gym (which is funny as haven't been there since November!). Will be keeping an eye on it and see what develops.

Baby out vibes to Peach and Meggy, hi to all laters and lurkers

    Morning all

zoe- glad you slept better last night. You deffinatley need to sort out B's bedtime before biscuit comes along. E has always been good at bedtime but we've had a few tantrums over other things in the past couple of weeks.

Moz- Hope your headache clears up and the drive is OK. I think most people pack about 36 weeks, but I have to admit I was still packing things for when I had E the day I went to hospital at 40+12. I never thought about the extra bag for E.

Lea8 - Glad mw appointment went well. This weather is a nightmare to drive in please be careful x x

Tabs- Glad to see you managed to get out.

SS- Glad your hips seem to be better and don't forget that each of the BH's is helping. I'm sure you won't still be waiting in 6 weeks.

CD- Hope your hips get better through the day.

AFM - Been to see mw this morning. Nothing much to report, everything OK. Glad to find out that they still rent out the TENS machines - she told me to ask for it next appointment in 3 weeks time.

Well I tempted fate by saying it would be better if it snowed again, than having ice,.....it snowed again!!!!!! Must go and make lunch before going to work.

Have a good day everyone and baby out vibes to Peach and meggy.

    Morning All

Zoe - hope you have a lovely relaxing day - I'm v jealous stuck at work!

Moz - hope the physio helps this afternoon. I'd forgotton all about doing a hospital bag - something else I better start organising!

Lea8 - Lucky it was only a near miss - still scarey though!

Tabs - hope you get out again today, its soo boring being stuck at home.

Startstruck - the cranial-sacral sounds amazing, andI can see why you started to get excited! Hope you don't get 6 weeks of false starts though!

CharlieDaisy - hope the pain in your hip goes - I had similar this morning. And thanks for adding me to the list - you got my due date spot on!!

pebbles - have a good day, and you've just reminded me about hiring a TENS machine! (not that I got to use it last time!)

Meggy - baby out vibes to you - the waiting is just horrible isn't it?

AFM - am starting to panic at everything we need to do before I can start preparing for the baby - need to empty the spare room, decorate it for my daughter, then re-decorate her room for the baby and get all the baby stuff out of the loft and sorted out! And I've got no energy to do anything but get to work and keep house and kids in a reasonably clean state at the moment!

    Have a good day everyone!

  • Re: *** Thursday 3rd Trimester ***

    Hi all

At work so no personals today, will try and pop back after work.  Just had my 28 week appointment, ended up waiting over an hour because the midwives had difficulty getting there on the icy roads but hey-ho, what can you do.  BP is good, took them 2 goes to get blood again so I have 2 plasters, my urine was +1 for glucose but they asked what I'd had for brekkie and when I said porridge with a bit of sugar (well a big spoon really!) and a smoothie they didn't seem worried.

Baby cadet is apparently a baby that knows his mind, when she was trying to listen to the heart rate he kept kicking the doppler.  She wasn't even pressing that hard but he kicked the doppler several times, hard enough to make it come off the bump.  The midwives were falling about laughing at him!

Feel better/baby out etc vibes to whoever needs them.

    28+0

  • Re: *** Thursday 3rd Trimester ***

CD - Keep an eye on your hips as that is how mine started, almost like the residual ache you get after you've had cramp - I had that in my bum cheeks right where each hip joint is, and its gradually got worse and worse.

Pebbles - Hope you have had a good day, glad to hear that your MW appointment went well yesterday

Meggy - am sending lots of Baby Out vibes to you (and not planning on queue jumping! lol)  But nooooooo to being in the same hospital! Laugh  Am doing absolutely everything I can to avoid being in hospital!! lol, that's why yesterday was such a landmark - 36 weeks means I can safely give birth at home!  Also wanted to say that when I went into labour with Aliya, I had no niggles, nothing!  I had no idea I was going to go into labour until I actually was!

Nice to see you Sparkle_Kez - hope that you are doing ok?  and also YAY! to F10na - hope that everything goes well for you today!

Whisper - I am hoping so too! lol  6 weeks of false starts could be a bit much!  Hope that you manage to find the energy to get all the things done that you need to do.  I found just tacking one small bit at a time was helpful.  Will your OH be able to help?

SC - Glad to hear that your appointment went well.  Naughty baby though!  Mine is generally ok with the handheld doppler, but he hated the monitoring that we had to have in hospital, he spent the first half an hour desperately trying to kick off the 2 pad things, whilst his heart rate went over 200bpm at times!!!

Well I went back to bed and had another hour or so sleep, and have been up and had lunch but am definately not getting anything like the BH's I had last night.  I've had a handful, but very irregular and not as strong.  Mr S called to see if he needed to come home from work - I think he was a bit disappointed when I said nothing was going on! Laugh

The coloured felt squares that i've ordered to make baby's artwork for his room have arrived so I might make a start on them this afternoon...except I can't remember where I would have packed my fabric scissors when we moved....thinking cap time! lol
