Hello all
Sorry not been on for aaaaages but I have been rather busy
....ok are you ready for a mega update
Right for those of you that don't know Mr Woo got a job in Bury St Edmunds, we live in Stafford. House went on the market, we had a lot of interest initially so we looked at houses there and found something we wanted to buy. No offers came on our house so we couldn't progress any further. [sigh]
Plan A was inititated - this was that Mr Woo would stay in Bury St Edmunds Mon-Fri and come home at weekends/when he had time off in the week. I would stay in Stafford so Isaac could stay in the school he was in now, I had my friends around me, it was easier for family to get to, I didn't need to move the horses, I knew the midwife and consultant and they know my history (all making sense so far?)
Mr Woo got what we call 'the micro apartment' in BSE. It is a lovely 2 bed room apartment but in true bloke style it was near to his work, on a main road, opposite a busy pub, was very small and had no garden.
Mr Woo then thinks that he wants us all to be in BSE as he is worried about when I go into labour as he is on call around that time. Fine. He however has signed a 6 months lease on the 'micro apartment' and can't get out of it.....not ideal but I figure people manage in less space than that. I find somewhere for the horses, finish work and start making plans to move.
Then we hit problems firstly we can't get Isaac into the school we want. Instead we are offered 2.5 hours nursery education a day - at a school that I would have to drive to.
Then I start getting stressed about what we are going to do with my cat and rabbit (no way they can come to the flat)
Then we all tried living in the flat for a few days. Isaac who is used to a large house, gardens and helping me at the stables is a total nightmare.
I cannot see for the life of me how I am going to cope in a tiny flat with a boisterous 4 year old who isn't going to be at school and a newborn. Also how is Mr Woo going to cope at work on very little sleep as we will all be under each others feet.
On the school front I would have to be up and ready, drive both children across BSE in rush hour traffic to drop Isaac off at school, drive back to the flat, then after about an hour drive back to pick him up. Then at some point I would have to drive to go and sort out the horses.... I have no friends around me, no-one I could call to help out or watch Isaac if things were getting a bit much for me...
So Plan A was put back in action.
My only worry is Mr Woo not getting back in time for when I go into labour, but I have agreed to call him at the first sign of a twinge (even if it is a false alarm) I also have my best mate, who doesn't drink at all, on stand by to take me to the hospital and stay with me until Mr Woo gets there.
So I *think* everything is pretty much sorted [mirthless hollow laugh]
Other than that I'm fine. I stopped running about 2 weeks ago as I was getting painful BH and now I'm piling on the weight
Once Isaac is back at school next week I should be able to get out for a lot of walking etc. I was riding and still intended to be but its been so icey and snowy that I couldn't risk it so I haven't ridden for a week. I don't know now whether its worth getting back in the saddle or just waiting until the baby is born. Again I think I'll see what happens next week when Isaac is at school.
Everyone keeps commenting on how high I'm carrying and I have to say that walking around the horse's field which is quite hilly is getting me a bit breathless, especially when I'm pushing a wheelbarrow. Other than that I'm fine apart from a few tearful evenings when I'm just a little bit fed up with being so fat and I can't get comfortable but that soon passes.
Anyway better go and start some housework. I have someone wanting to view the house tomorrow [fingers crossed icon]
