best was rosepetal cottage tied with dancing tinky winky (both of which were bargains so pleased about that)

also popular have been a textured ball from jojomamanbebe and this

we bought it for Louisa (8 months) but Charlotte (2) has hijacked it. that too was a bargain.

worst - hmm not sure we have had a worst yet, I think everything has been played with and enjoyed so far.

    Best

    Jumperoo!

A gorgeous wooden mobile from one of H's work colleages. Was really taken aback. Its got lovely little safari animals hanging down which are jointed if that makes sense.

A caterpillar toy from Tesco which plays the usual music, sounds, numbers, colours etc but I think its really good and R seems to love it.

    Worst

None really although she got a couple of outfits which aren't really my cup of tea.

My son Ben's  (who is two and a half)  favourite has been the two Tomy Trackmaster Thomas the Tank Engine sets (with the trains - Gordon, James and Percy  bought separately). We have linked the sets together and he has not stopped playing with it yet. The batteries in one of the trains is already runnning out!

The least played with at the moment is probably the little people Noah's Arc, probably because it doesn't move or make any noises!!

Will's favourite (21 months) has been this

Fireman Sam engine - absolutely loves it! It was only £8.99 too!

    He also loves his kitchen

    and his ELC post box

Most things have been a hit!

Actually his godfather got him a v-tech laptop and he hasn't bothered with that, I think it's a bit young for him.

This is a great thread for me too as it's Will's birthday in March!

Oooh. This is really interesting. I'm not sure I can space things properly from my phone, so bear with me! The BEST toys were the Duplo Construction site, Duplo digger and about a gazillion Bob/ F.Sam/ Postman Pat DVDs. We also got a P.Pat helicopter that carries a cow, a surprise hit that my boys and my niece were fighting over all day. We also got the Orchard Toys Dotty Dinosaurs game that E can just about manage and O loves. They have also both played well with Jitterbugs (from ELC I think). They each got a 'battery train' for their wooden trainset - the £6 version from Tescos and again, a resounding success. The new Bob vehicles have gone down a storm, and I am going to order the rest with their money. Our WORST toys: Sadly, we got some cheap, crappy cars and trucks which have broken already. Also, a JCB set (£20 but I got it for £10) that has also broken already - O still loves it though! Surprisingly, a DK racing car book that is supposed to have pop up things that move - too fiddly and broken already. All in all though, a good haul that I hope they will get great use from!

elifun and a magnetic wooden fishing game from hawkins' mickey mouse's remote controlled car has been fun, but its terrorised the cat, he's been outside for days now.  its not hit him yet, but he's petrified of it

  • Re: Okay - Toy review - which ones were best/worst?

No real 'worst' ones, just a duplicate and one that he has pretty much outgrown already.

Best though was his minimicro scooter (in red), Buzz Lightyear and his cd player with microphones for singing along.

He also got a Gator Golf that he is loving muchly.
