Some DDL news!

DDL has texted me this morning to say that her contractions started at 5.30am this morning! Looks like Gilbert wanted to be a Jesus after all!

She is still at home and managing, but is going to ring the assessment unit to see what they say. She has asked that if you know her on FB please don't say anything!

I am going to refrain from doing the "I was right" dance and instead send lots of baby out vibes and speedy/easy labour vibes to Deb and hope you are all right lovely. I can't wait to meet Gilbert!

Oh gosh, DDL we all knew it was going to be today, I hope she is coping ok and that it will be as painless as possible

Morning all

As Kat has already said Gilbert is making his break for freedom! I knew it would be Christmas day, I just knew it!

So thank you Kat for not not doing the I was right dance, although as you said just because he let us buy the christmas dinner, didn't mean he was going to let us eat it. It's funny not knowing if this is going to be Gilbert's first christmas or not!

I'm coping quite well at the minute, but the contractions aren't particularly regular, ranging between every 2 and 16 minutes so far So I'm on my birthing ball and I've taken paracetamol and the tens is on. The maternity assessment unit just told me to stay at home and give them a ring if my waters go or if things progress. I'm just really excited right now, I can't wait to meet my baby

Fantastic! Can you get out for a walk? That may well help things along a bit. Worked wonders for me when my contractions were irregular with #2.
