  • UK Honeymoon..but where to?

Hiya, we are not the going abroad type and dont have passports, so our honeymoon will be in UK. but where to? any suggestions?

  • Re: UK Honeymoon..but where to?

What sort of thing do you like doing - are you beach people or do you like walking? And what time of year are you getting married?

  • Re: UK Honeymoon..but where to?

If it's all-year-around scenery, then The Highlands in Scotland and Lake District come to mind. If spring and summer time then, in addition to these would be Dorset, Devon and Cornwall. That's where I would choose, anyway.

I think Cumbria would be great then. I stayed in a lodge when I was there that had its own private sauna - great after a long day's walking! If you fancied you could even split it with a weekend in Manchester for a city-break bit as well. :)

I went to Cornwall for my first wedding anniversary and it was amazing, its really different to the rest of the uk, the weather should be good there by may and there is plenty to see and do!
