Morning all, unplanned day off here as school is shut due to snow! J is still asleep and I'm looking forward to  a day of catching up on all my Christmas stuff - still haven't written a single card or wrapped a single present!

Will probably go out and play in the snow later and may walk up to the post office if I get cards written. Will also wait to see if we get post today and if there is no scan letter I'll be ringing to chase that.

Feeling okay, glad of the extra day off to rest as I think I'd be shattered by tonight if I had to do another day of work! Definitely got the makings of a little bump appearing, c-section scar starting to fill out now.

Hope everyone is well today, take care in the snow and have a lovely day!

Morning Margot - Enjoy your snow day!

It's my day off work today, so i'm now off until the 4th Jan - Hurrah!  My morning sickness seems to come and go.  Yesterday was a sicky day, hopefully today will be better.

We have some snow here in Sheffield, but not loads.  As usual, our road is an ice track, so I doubt I'll be venturig out other than maybe a walk to deliver some cards.  I'm planning to spend the day getting a bit organised and wrapping some pressies.

Scan on Monday - still nervous.

    Good morning everyone!!

I'm still in bed, unable to muster the courage to leave my nice warm bed for a cold flat!! I've been awake since 6, but don't have any plans until work at 12- unless I get called in early. We have no snow outside, just wet mush Sad

I'm feeling ok and looking forward to seeing my friend who is coming to visit tonight... Not seen her for about a year!!!

hi to everyone who is having a lie in and comes on later!!

    Max & Piglet 11+1 xx

    Morning all Wave

Margot - Enjoy your day off

Conanetta - My MS comes & goes too. Good luck at the scan on MOnday

Max - Enjoy seeing your friend tonight.

AFM - We have LOADS of snow at home. Very hard pushing J's pushchair in deep fluffy snow. Then I get off the bus & walk to work & here it's all slush AND loads of the slush has turned to ice, so it's lethal out there. I have a stinking cold, so wish I was still tucked up in my bed. As for morning sickness, today is a sicky day. I feel quite pants already!!!

Today is my last day at work until 5th January (which is also my scan day!! AND the first day of the 2nd trimester for me!!), so I wont be around much over Christmas. I wish you all a lovely Christmas & new year. Good luck for those having scans between now & the new year. I'll see you over on the 2nd trimester with a scan report when I get back in the new year!

Margot - hope you have a lovely Christmassy day - bear in mind that today is the last posting day for second class mail, and Monday for first class. I've got a big bundle with me at work to post later!

Conanetta - so jealous of all your time off! Hope you can spend at least some of it resting.

Max - enjoy seeing your friend!

Splosh - enjoy your time off work, have a lovely Christmas x

AFM - had the day off work yesterday due to an awful headache, feel a million times better today after sleeping most of the day. So difficult only being able to take paracetamol!

Got my scan date after ranting and raving on the phone to the doctors receptionist on Wednesday because the hospital hadn't received my referral, she agreed to fax it to them and they must have sent my letter straight out the same day - my dating scan is on Christmas eve! Bounce I'm very excited!

Love to all who come later, and be careful in the snow everyone Big Smile

    Morning all!

Made it to work after dropping off my little one. I was only a few minutes late so didn't do too badly on that one. About 10cm of snow here but it is manageable, the roads are not too icy.

The office is deserted, only another 3 colleagues and myself. It should be a quiet yet busy day and I do like quiet. LOL

I wish a Merry Christmas and a Happy new Year to all the ladies who are now on holiday and won't be around much in the next few days. I should be able to report every day as I'm unfortunate enough to have to work every day over the Christmas holiday.

Feeling normal, don't feel pregnant at all. I don't know if it's too early to call the doctors on Monday for my first antenatal appointment or not. What do you think? I will be 4wks + 3 days roughly..

Right, got to rush. Have a good day everyone!

Margot - make the most of your extra day off!

Conanetta - woo to no more work until January. Hope you enjoy the time off with your little one.

Max - stay in bed. It's far too cold to get up.

Splosh - another lucky one on their last day of work, hope that you have a lovely Christmas.

Mrs Lord - yay to the scan date, and less than a week away too!

Sukily - it's never too early to call and get yourself on the system. The time it takes to get actual appointments seems to vary hugely.

Well woke up to about 6" of snow in Kent this morning, so it was fun getting into work today! People drive like complete morons through it, amazes me. Made it though (worse luck) but there's only a handful of people in today - the rest of them just didn't bother! So tempted to go and build a snowman....hopefully they'll see sense and send us home early - if I can get there that is, had to stay at my parent's last night because the roads were too iced up.

Take care all of you who have to go out in it - and enjoy it those who don't!

    Morning ladies!

Working from home today, as the roads are just too treacherous to get in on if you don't need to, so working from home.

Still bleeding a little each time I go to the loo, but its never got any worse so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Loads of love to everyone today,

    Emma

RCT, loads of love to you, glad to hear it seems to be going well for you.

Rang to chase my scan today only to find that they have not even received the referral form which the midwife filled in 2 weeks ago! They suggested asking the GP for a re-referral so have been up there and asked them to do that. We had a long but fun walk round the village and J walked all the way - with only a little bribery (a gingerbread man from the local shop!)

Now going to warm up and enjoy some lunch!

    Hi all.

Just a quick post to say hello and I am still around. End of term today so I'm thrilled. I'm out tonight at a comedy gig and we have front row seats so hoping I don't need to go the loo all the time!

Hoping to catch up with everyone and the posts over the weekend and next week.

    Hello everyone, brrrrrrrr so cold.

No snow with me bit it is frosty still!

Had my dating scan this morning. I was 50% excited and 50% nervous that something would be wrong. All is well though and little heart was beating away and got 3 lovely pics (for £5!!). My dates have changed though and I am now 13 weeks instead of 12 + 3, so new due date of 25th June. Guess I'll move over to 2nd tri now???

So relieved and had a lovely day with H went for pub lunch and have been replying to texts all day! Love to you all and good luck fir scans coming up and for those that are waiting for dates.

I will attempt to add a photo but not sure it'll work!!

Lovely scan photo Broodymare, see you over on 2nd tri in a fortnight!

GP has promised to do another referral today so hopefully might get my scan at some point soon - just got to play the waiting game some more now!

How's the snow for everyone else? Nothing really melting here, and we've had a little bit more this afternoon. We're having a Christmas street party this evening so will have to wrap up warm!

    Hello all,

I haven't been a regular in terms of posting - sorry! - but have been reading and lurking and generally feeling morning-sicky.  Anyway, I am now 11+6 and had the initial scan today like broody (congrats broody!).

All OK, dates correct, the nuchal measurement was bigger than they'd like but taken in tandem with all the other tests, the overall risk score was great - comparable to the average 15 year-old mother-to-be (1:7,000 for chromosomal abnormality).

Also, they told us the gender - who knew they knew at 12 weeks?!  Saying that, the doctor said she was 65% sure, and would be a lot surer at the next scan.

I hope the pic below works:
