Morning everyone, can't see another thread so hopefully lots of people are having nice lie ins!

Nothing interesting to report here, still waiting for a scan appointment, so will be chasing them towards the end of the week if nothing has come by then. Had a very bizarre feeling yesterday, like little bubbles in the very bottom of my tummy. Wondered if it was the baby but never felt J until 20 weeks so htink it must be far too early. Nice feeling though to think it could be!

Hope everyone else is well and has nice things planned for today, lazy morning for us then finishing last couple of bits of Christmas shopping and out and about before X Factor tonight!

Morning Margot!  How exciting that you might be feeling movements.  I've had nothing yet.  I felt Charlotte from about 17 weeks.

I'm ok today.  Almost finished the christmas shopping - yay!

Am feeling v. fluffy about Charlotte at the minute, she was 18 months old yesterday and she's just fab!  We're off to visit my parents tody and let her cause chaos over there.

One more working week left until the holidays, thank goodness.  I'm really looking forward to the break.  I'm also getting increasingly nervous about the nuchal on the 21st.  I just want this baby to be ok.

Conanetta, I'm sure everything will be fine at the scan but I know what you mean, I think I'm even more nervous this time than I was with J.

Don't think it can really be movements I'm feeling, it is so so much earlier than J and I'm sure I'm just imagining it!

Know what you mean about feeling fluffy, I keep looking at J and wondering how I managed to make this marvellous little person, he seems like such a proper little boy now but every so often we have a proper baby moment still Fluffy

    Good Morning Ladies!

Margot - its nice to know someone else is still waiting for their scan, I feel really left behind. Ive got my 1st hospital appointment on thurs then hopefully we can arrange a scan date, doubt its gonna be before xmas though (booooo!)

Connanetta - good luck for the scan in a couple of weeks, I'm sure everything will be fine xxx

AFM - I was sick last night, 1st time ever during my pregnancy, I'm not sure why - it could be the stinky cold I have, gets on my chest Sad also its a good job i went into boots to speak to them, I wasnt aware I couldnt have anything stronger than paracetamol, i was just going to get loads of lemsip and hole myself away!

Gonna put on the new ministry album now and blitz the flat (shouldnt take long as its tiny!!) then hopefully my MIL will be here, she's driving down from manc to give us our xmas pressies Smile

Does anyone know whats going to happen to me on thursday? they tell me i'm gonna be booking in, and expext to be there for about 3 hours, I think i'll have blood taken, but will they try to listen to baby at all? the letter isnt explaining very well. any light shed would be good xxx

Max2607, I would guess that your appointment will be taking medical history on yours and H's side, bloods, weighing and measuring and maybe talking about your thoughts on birth. They wouldn't try to listen to the baby this early on, the earliest they would do that is 16 weeks from my experience. Hope it all goes well x

    Morning Wave

Just had the midwife come for my booking in appointment. It was really good and turns out she was the same midwife that i was under when i had Harry 13 years ago Surprise and we lived in a different town then, how weird!!

She took 4 lots of blood off me, asked some questions where id like to have baby etc. Ive ended up deciding im either having an active home birth or a water birth in a hospital i never even thought of giving birth in, strange how your mind changes after speaking to a mw. I even thought i had spd but she thinks otherwise, just that im getting old Laugh

Feeling great about this pregnancy now after the midwife has been. Just hope everything goes ok now!

Good morning lovely Ladies - good to see that everyone is well.  I'm off a few days so hope I have'nt missed too much news. Surprise

I had my mum and sister over to visit and it was lovely but so stressful!!  I've become an expert in swapping mulled wine for non-alcoholic mulled wine. Germany is really big on their Christmas markets and my mum loves it so every coulpe of hours it was like ''Oh go on - we'll have another one!!''. I tried to get out of it by always ordering and whispering in German  - 2 mulled wines but one without alcohol. I always had to watch over my shoulder  to see  if mum could hear!!!   Pretty sure I got away with it!!!

We're telling my inlaws on Christmas day and then flying home on New Years Day to tell my Parents. Its not quite the 12 weeks but its the best we could mange living abroad!!

Planning on wrapping up a tiny box and putting 1 blue and 1 pink tiny baby sock in there and first of all apoloise to my parents that they'll have to travel to visit us a lot more in 2010!! Can't wait!!! Big Smile

Is anyone else telling the parents on Christmas???

    Enjoy Sunday everyone

    xx Sue

Well my other 2, i had at Rotherham. We have since moved to Doncaster so was gonna have it there but because we live in Bawtry which is inbetween Doncaster and Worksop(Bassetlaw) ive decided to have it at Bassetlaw. The midwife swayed me really because she said its a normal hospital but smaller and quieter, apparently last year Doncaster delivered over 3000 babies but at BAssetlaw it was just over 1000 Smile and they also have a birthing pool there too x
