ohhh, gosh, erm, I think I'd speak to the x-ray dept or your Dr for advice x

I had a mind once, now I have small children.

I would tell them that you might be pregnant but that it is too early to test and see what they say.

I registered with a new dentist earlier this year and he wanted to do x-rays as a matter of course.  He asked if I was pregnant and at the time there was a possibility, but I was less then a week post AF so no way of knowing for sure.  He told me that as the x-rays were non-essential that they weren't worth the risk.  He told me that the most dangerous time for an X-ray is during early pregnancy, and that there is no point doing them unless there is a very good reason.

I am sure that if you tell them that you may be PG, they can assess how necessary the x-ray is.  They might also be able to reschedule you for a couple of weeks time so you will know if you are pregnant or not.

Be on the safe side, tell them and get them to make the call. If it was me I'd try and postpone until I knew for certain I wasn't pg, HTH xx

I don't think they'll do it if there's any chance you could be pregnant.

I had an x-ray before my periods returned after the birth of my son so I had to sign a form - i think it was to take any responsibility away from them if it turned out I was pregnant!.

Last time I'd taken 2 packs of pills together so hadn't had a period for over 6 weeks so they did a pregnancy test.

Another time I thought I might be pregnant (I was) but it was too early to test so they wouldn't do an x-ray, they did a scan instead (to look at my kidneys).

I think if there is any risk you could be pregnant they will not want to do it.

Thanks everyone - I dont think i will risk it then

I had no idea it was so dangerous in early pregnancy and I can postpone it until i know for sure

as the others said, i would wait, when would ytou be able to test? can you shedule the x ray for after your know for sure if you are pregnant or not explaining to them the situation, X ray in pregnancy is not recommended, i didnt have tooth x ray for that reason and and X ray on back would defintly expose the baby

Hope the pain wont be too bad for you until then

    xx

I'd agree with everyone else and explain the situation, it's not worth the risk.

And by the way, fingers crossed for a BFP Big Smile
