    Morning all Wave

Same old, same old here. No more symptoms, nausea still at bay, just tired really. I feel like I'm completely imagining this baby sometimes - I don't think it'll start to feel real til after I've had a scan!

    Hope you're all ok.

Morning Mrs Lord, please don't worry about your symptoms - all I really have is tiredness and it was the same with J, and that was definitely a real baby who is 2 next week!

Nothing interesting to report here, just a stressful time with lots going on, so trying to make the most of time to rest and looking forward to getting a scan date so I can come clean and people can understand why I'm so incredibly tired!

Good morning MrsLord and Margot, wishing you a restful Saturday!

Had my first antenatal yesterday, got my SANDS sticker on my notes (which when collected together are 6inches high, oops). Just watching things till the scan and blood results are back really, though my consultant has warned me that until baby is viable there's not a lot in the way of intervention available, just lots of monitoring by scan etc. Good to be in the system though. Found out the swine flu clinic is walk-in, but not till after 14w, so will hold fire on that. Apart from that, a strange day in our household, the 2nd anniversary of losing my daughter Jamie in the 2nd trimester. So we're thoughtful today, well, as thoughtful as you can be with a crazy 2yo in the house who spent the whole night in our bed last night!

Big squeezes to all, and extra vibes for MKM and her rollercoaster today.

    Hi ladies.

    Not much to report here.

Mrs L - I remember with C my nausea eased off around 9 weeks.  In the pregnancy book I had it mentioned something about the placenta taking over around that time, which is why some people start feeling better.  I am clinging onto the hope that the same will happen for me this time and that I'll be over the worst of it soon.

Margot - I can't wait to come clean either.  I've been awful, avoiding friends and family because I look so bloody rough.

    Have a lovely weekend everyone,

    C

    Morning ladies.........

Ok I'm going to take the bull by the horns and officially join the thread in a very nervous fashion as I have got to start being positive!

Mrs L - feel glad you have no symptoms! Although I know what you mean about imagining this baby!Love

Margot - Make sure you have time to rest, and I hope you get that scan date soon. Love

Madonna - Yay for your first antenatal! I truly hope and pray that everything sails through for you. Love

Conanetta - sorry you feel so rough, I know what you mean about it being so hard being a secret from everyone. Love

Me, well I'm very dizzy which is an odd sensation but other than that feel fine. I'm so nervous, and can't help the feeling that something will go wrong and I'll start bleeding, but I'm trying so hard to positive and let this pregnancy have a chance. I'm weighing up paying for a reassurance scan privately at 8 weeks if they won't let me have one on the NHS just to see that heartbeat and that I'm right for dates. I think it would really help settle my brain.

I have a lot of AF style cramps going on, but I know thats probably normal so trying not to stress about it!

  • Re: ***Saturday 1st Trimester***

Mrs Lord - not long until your scan now so you will then know you are not imagining it!

Margot - sorry things are so stressful - hope you get time to relax

Madonna - I will be thinking of you and MrM today Hug

Conanetta - sorry you are feeling so rough - I hope it lessens soon

RCT - We are at the same stage! I have everything crossed for you, but can understand why you are nervous.  Certainly ask about a scan.  I am going for a private scan in three weeks - i'll be 7+1 then, wanted to wait until 8 weeks like you but that falls at christmas time and I wanted to know before then.

AFM - not a lot to report, feeling tired but still not able to lie in, not sure if is pregnancy related or just too many thoughts going through my head.  Went out with H last night and we were able to talk properlly for the first time since me thrusting a postiive HPT at him when he walked through the door on Wednesday!  He is really excited and found myself getting excited (I have been neervous that something will go wrong) and enjoying being pregnant.

Good luck to MKM - hope all goes well today.

    Morning all.

Feeling much better than I did yesterday. Good job too as me and my H are meeting digitalskittles and her H and we're off to the chocolate shop for lunch! MMmmmm Slattery's!

Still got sore boobs and keep feeling sick but no sick today which is good. Still nothing from midwife etc. Will go into surgery again this week if I don't hear anything and get a number for them.

Mrs L, I can imagine it must feel strange having no symptoms, I've really only had the boobs and tiredness until last week then I had a week of sick feeling and 3 days of being sick.

Margot, enjoy the rest while you can eh?!

Madonna, glad all went well for you, I have everything crossed for you. It must be a strange day in your house. Thinking of you x

Conanetta, sorry to hear you're feeling rough. It is hard not to tell everyone isn't it? A few key people know around me so that makes it easier to hide.

tigger, I hope the dizziness goes soon, not a nice feeling.

Hi to all those lurkers and those coming on later. I maybe back tonight.

    Good morning

Ive got such a headache, had it since last night and even though i had a good sleep it wont seem to go away, not even gonna attempt paracetamol as they dont usually work for anything! Boobs are less sore again, only ever so slightly feel sick, so fed up of worrying that something is wrong due to lack of symptoms and i know i shouldnt!! Keep wondering if this baby's heart has started to beat now.

    Hello everyone!

I am so sorry I've been missing in action for ages.  Have to be honest and admit that (like many of you) I have been feeling SO DREADFUL that I haven't wanted to be online at all, spreading my misery around the internetz...

I had the swine flu jab about a week and a half ago, then succumbed to a horrible flu (I still have the cough) which just knocked me for six.  Plus m/s has been bad (nausea/retching not vomiting) and I have really bad food aversion - can't go near meat, which is problematic as we have three cats and a dog, and my OH and our lodger are both committed carnivores who can't cook!

Anyway, the good news is I suddenly feel so much better!  Still retching when I feed the cats first thing, but beyond that and the tiredness, I feel well!  I am 9+0 today so Conanetta, maybe this is the placenta-taking-over stage?  Hope so.

Will try to be a much more regular poster from now on...

Do any of you have a clue about the sex of your babies yet?  I am totally sure mine is a girl.  This is based on meat aversion, timing of conception (the BD that created this baby was 2 days pre-ov) and just a hunch!

Mrs Lord - I know what you mean about it not seeming real.  I too am looking forward to scan (although I don't have a date yet and I think my 12/13 week coincides with Christmas, so not sure how that'll work).

Margot - we've not told anyone either, except our lodger as it is impossible to hide it from those you live with.  I am telling my parents, and OH's mum, next weekend on Sunday (which is also my bday!)

Madonna - I hope that your day passes in a way that works for all of you.  *hugs*

Conanetta - hello!  I've just crossed the 9 week threshold and feel a million times better, and so I really hope you'll be the same come Monday!

RCT - welcome!  I was really crampy too, certainly up to 5/6 weeks, so stay calm.  Check that you remain eligible for NHS scans if you go private - I read (on here) that in some parts of the country, you can't do both.  I am getting anxious that I haven't heard about my 12 week scan...

Dasiyb - hello!  That's great you and your H had time to digest the news and get excited!  Congrats!

Nich - hello again!  Hope you have a lovely day today and enjoy the choc!

Supern - hope you're feeling better...couldn't the headache be a symptom itself?  I think these things come and go in waves.  Hope you enjoy the weekend.

Hi Max, I know what you mean about boob increase.  Mine are radically different, bigger and with MUCH bigger nips.  It is quite a change.  My OH is fascinated by them but they are way way too sore to have anyone fo anywhere near them.  I;m glad you feel so well and good luck commission-chasing!

Kathryn - that's great news re the scan!  Hey, I am obsessed with Twiglets and Wotsits - indulge yourself, you're definitely allowed!

MKM - hope you're OK today my dear.

Well just to say I managed to enjoy my chocolate. I had potato wedges with cheese and bacon and then chocolate fudge cake with ice cream for pudding which was fabulous. The others then went shopping but I was too tired so came home and had a nap!

Sleepy now but I'm comfy in bed with new PJs on and watching Strictly.
