Stag do nonsense; anyone fancy a spot of scheming?

So most normal H2B's have their stag do a couple of weeks, perhaps a month before the wedding, right?  Well, I've just found out that our Best Man has organised Jumbly Boy's do for five months BEFORE the wedding on, of all the days in the year, the weekend of my birthday!!!  Jumbly Boy is feigning ignorance, and I'm inclined to believe him, as he's a good 'un, and I'm not overly fussed anyway (even if it is my last birthday as a spinster and my last birthday before I am officially OLD, according to my wee bro).  However, methinks I can get some mileage out of this one.  What do you think girls?  Shall I demand some kind of compensation and if so, what form? Devil I have visions of lots of pampering.  Can anyone inspire me?

Or shall I be a good wee wifey2B and just say "go on then", leave it at that and enjoy feeling smug when all of his fellow stags go "cor you're so lucky to have such an understanding wifey" Angel and just hope that this gets into the BM's speech?

    Nice one, I like it!

I would most definately play up to it if I were you! A nice meal out the week before / after is a must! And flowers on your birthday for sure!

The cheek! He's got to be winding you up.  I'd demand flowers, meal and a hotel stay the weekend after and something planned and paid for on your actual birthday to do with friends... maybe a spa day!

How definitely confirmed is it?  I love love love birthdays so wouldn't be impressed with it on my birthday!  I'd be speaking to the Best Man!  Smile

Your comment about yout age tells me you must be turning 29.  In that case, where have you always wanted to go?  That's where i'd be going for my 30th  Wink

    Good luck!

PS - I went to Vegas for my 30th - sooooooooooo cool!!

Bit OT, I was OK about turning 29 until my little brother pointed out that it was exactly half way between my 18th and 40th!  Eeek!!

I should also point out that as Jumbly Boy and I live in different counties, we only ever see each other at the weekends and this is the first time for years that my Birthday has fallen on a Saturday.  Ooh, I think I'm probably more annoyed than I want to let on.... Sex

Note to self: must stop thinking about this because the more I ruminate, the less chilled out I am.  Sorry, I realise that this is a totally self-indulgent thread and I'm just seeking pity!!! Smile

I don't want him to miss out, as they are planning to go to a one-off festival, so of course, he'll go.  But I do want to make him pay, yet still appear like an utterly cool and chilled out wifey2B....
