yay! 1st public bf!!

we sucessfully negotiated our first public feed today in a pub in north berwick using a baby babette - much easier than i thought it would be, even managed to eat my scampi and fries at the same time!! not much point in this post but i've been dreading having to feed in public so its a big deal for us! the baby babette made all the difference, has to be one of my best purchases so far! highly recommended!

Well done you! Me and Ava are yet to be so brave (well excluding the AWFUL feeding room in tesco where they make you sit next to the nappy bins!!!)

it was called drum.... something drumlaigh possibly... its on quality street opposite the turning to the high street - they do a mean hot chocolate fudge cake too i discovered!!

Well done!  I didn't really like BF in public,  I had such a quick let down it got messy but E was such a regular feeder I didn't have a choice!  What is the Babette thing you used?  Would be something to keep in mind for when we decide to have another baby  x

basically a huge bib so baby is completly covered - no muslins falling off etc. Used it twice more yesterdy evening when we had ameal with the in laws:

this is us using it (whilst H fed me my starter as Sarah decided she HAD to be fed as it arrived!) there is a feeding baby under there somewhere!! Underside is muslin so you can flip it over your shoulder to burp.

We've yet to get out very much, although I have so far fed in front of various family and friends as well as in the car in the B&Q car park   Weirdly though I was dreading feeding in front of family at home more than I am out in public.  I guess the thought of parents / Aunts and Uncles / friends etc catching an eyeful while we grapple with getting George latched on is what was doing it!
