We are planning to take Kerenza skiing in January when she will be 22mths old (not more than 50th centile for height, so might be best with 18-24 mths). Don't want to spend a fortune on gear for her since she'll only wear it once. Am looking on Ebay, but haven't bought anything yet.

Anyone got any gear to sell, or any recommendations of brands / companies to try?

Not used it yet, but we bought Henry a lovely Columbia outfit of dungarees and jacket.  Picked it up in the sale at Snow and Rock at the end of last season.  Lots of places will have start of season sales so worth keeping an eye out.

Got osh kosh sallopettes and jacket from tkmaxx for £20!!!  Would be good enough I would guess. A few weeks ago now but might be worth try.

(We're not even planning on going skiing but in case it got cold here - ours is 3t so too big to lend).

Thanks both. We've not got a TKMaxx antwhere near unfortunately, but we are going to visit my bro in 10 days in Northampton and I believe they do....

Letty I've been looking at the columbia outfits - the dungarees look lovely and snug, and more practical than a snow suit for moving in and outdoors as they  can loose a layer with the coat off without stripping down to thermals!!

Spooky but I was about to post the same thing.  We are off skiing for Xmas with our 2 boys.  I would also be interested in buying any second hand kit - suitable for a small 3.5yr old and a 7mth old baby - particularly snow boots (size 9) and baby sunglasses.

My H plays rugby and so we brought M some Ski wear for those cold winter montsh on the sideline from Decathlon. The prices are really reasonable too.

Ok, from someone who lives in a snowy place with a toddler-

You need to layer the clothing, I would recommend you get a decent base layer (thermals) and a good fleece, then obviously the snowsuit. Patagonia are fab, though not cheap but definitely good quality.

My daughter lives in this fleece http://www.patagonia.com/web/eu/product/baby-synchilla-fleece-cardigan?p=60088-0-697

    and these thermals http://www.patagonia.com/web/eu/product/baby-capilene-baselayer-3-set?p=60051-0-492

Then I would second the recommendation for sallopettes/dungarees and a jacket rather than an all-in-one. We had some columbia ones last year which were good.

You will also need snowboots, we have the kamik snowbugs and they are very good, nice and easy to get on a wriggling toddlers feet http://www.rei.com/product/772623

Then wool socks are a must- never ever cotton in the snow/cold as it gets cold and wet and reduces your body temperature. And either fleece or wool mittens and hat. We find we don't really use a scarf as long as you have a coat that does up to the neck and a hat which come down over the ears and velcors under the chin.

In the Uk I have also found good bits in tk maxx, for adults too.

I have a pink Columbia outfit that my daughter wore last year, it is full salopettes/dungarees with matching coat. It is size 18-24 months. It was only worn for one week last year. If you're interested I can send you a photo. We also have some snow boots but I'm not sure on the size. We may also have some gloves as well.
