My friend pointed out that the issue with cheerios is not the sugar but the salt in those so I wouldn't give to a really little one.  L normally has a weetabix with cheerios, rice krispies or multi grain rice krispies (v similar to cheerios but shapes and known as fish biccits due to that in our household). She can also have fruit or yoghurt and porrige when we are having it.  Yesterday we had smoked salmon and scrambled egg and a muffin - she had the egg and muffin too (in bed - very naughty!)

S usually has weetabix. Other regulars are rice krispies, toast and  fruit. Then very occasionaly crumpets/ pikelets/ scotch pancakes/ croissants/ pain au chocolat/ brioche as a treat.

Shreddies, mini weetabix (E invariably ends up eating the 3rd or 4th bowl with her hands, and the little ones are more finger friendly!), Weetabix curls, rice crispies, cornflakes. Sometimes Cheerios (which are also great in a Snack Trap for car journeys) and Asda's mutligrain stars, but they're sugar coated so not every day.
