Did anyone go overdue with their 2nd?

I went overdue with no1 and with 3 weeks to go I really want to meet my LO, partly cause im excited to meet her and also becasue im like a beached whale and am struggling to move so want to get back to normal(ish)

But im worried that becasue i went overdue with no 1 i might go overdue again, although someone told me that you don't usually go overdue with no2?

Is this correct??

I'm afraid there are plenty of ladies on here who went overdue withe #2!!

I was induced at +14 with both of mine.  Cervix etc certainly more ready with #2 but he still wasn't shifting.

Poor you, this time last year I was in exactly your position so I can appreciate how you are feeling

I dont know how true this is but my consultant told me this time that people who went overdue before tend to give birth at around the same time next time, she said it was the body's natural labour length or something to that effect.

When my mum had me i was 2 weeks late, not sure about my brother who was no 2 but my sister (no 3) was a week late.

I was induced with Amber (baby 1) at 40+15, she was born 40+17.

Jack was overdue too, he was born at 40+13 although I did go into labour spontaneously with him.

I'm afraid another one overdue with no.2 here, I fully expected it as I was induced at 40+12 with no.1, no.2 arrived by herself but at 40+10 so similar gestations for both.  I think generally the 2nd comes a little bit earlier than the 1st but not necessarily early.

My consultant said that if the baby has the same parents that if you were overdue with no. 1 then you are more likely to be overdue with no. 2, though he did warn it was only a probability.  I've got two weeks to an elective c-section and I'm really hoping I'm the same as last time (overdue) than early! 

19 days overdue with No 1 and 15 days with No 2. Fingers crossed that No 3 arrives under two weeks late cos I'm getting fed up already!

oh bu***r!  I was hoping that this one would come about a week early as I don't think i'll be able to move in 3 weeks, never mind 4!!!!!

I was 10 days overdue with my second.  My first was 5 days early.  Sorry it's not what you wanted to hear but then you just don't know so this one might be a bit early.

D was 5 days late

M was 7 days late

1st - due date baby

2nd - officially 3 days late but he was born at 20 past midnight so really 2 days late

i'm still waiting for #1 but a close friend who had her second a few weeks back was 39+0 with #1 and 40+4 with #2... probably not what you wanted to hear! Sorry!
