  • Best nail treatment after removing artifical nails

I recently removed my artificial nails after a fairly long time, and my nails are a bit of a state. They are very weak and just keep nicking at the sides meaning I have to file/cut them down.

I bought some Nailtiques Formula A, as this is the one recommended for directly after removing acrylic nails.  It's not bad, but not brilliant.

Has anyone had great results using another product?  I looked it up on the internet last night and Opi Nail Envy seems to get some good reviews but I haven't used that myself.

any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I've recently had mine all taken off and they're bendy and brittle. I've been using Olan Labs Nail Optimizer (you can buy it on ebay for about a fiver) and it's really good especially if your nails are recovering from acrylics.

Slowly but surely they'll be back to normal, but be warned (from experience) it can take about 3 months for them to feel 'right' again...just in time for Christmas

While I was doing my nail technician training my tutor told me that warmed oil (olive or almond) is good for week, brittle nails.  Obviously don't have it too hot as it will burn but soak your fingers in it as a while and then massage it in and do that a couple of times a week.  Its a good cheap alternative that you could use in between the other products.
