I'm off to Centre Parcs for fireworks weekend and am dithering about what to take.

I usually try to fit in the kitchen sink anyway but this will be my first time taking Rosie away and space is really limited. They'll be 7 adults and her (will be 5 months) and we're meant to be car sharing. I obviously need her buggy and travel cot and was thinking about boiling her bottles there rather then taking her steriliser. Once nappies/wipes etc are packed as well as enough clothes that she can explode-a-poo without having to spend the rest of the time naked I've already overfilled both our share of space with her bits alone.

I feel like I'll probably need to keep her a bit contained as although everyone has said we can both go I really think they've no idea what it's like living with a baby. I can take her donut as that folds down really small and then a few toys to play with when in it.

Is there anything glaringly obvious that I've forgotten? I always feel lost when I don't have my car as I know that anything I leave behind I'll have to do without.

    TIA dippy xx

Our packing list for Zoe when we went away at that age was :-

    •  pushchair
    • carseat
    • blanket
    • Boris bear (her comforter)
    • muslins
    • bibs
    • steriliser
    • bottles
    • bottle brush
    • sterilising tablets
    • clothes
    • vests
    • grobag
    • travel cot
    • travel cot sheet
    • lullaby box
    • couple of toys (literally a rattle and a fabric thingy)
    • nappies
    • wipes
    • changing bag
    • hat & gloves

I would still take the steriliser, just pack the bottles you don't need for the journey in to it or pack some clothes or something in it.

If she isn't crawling that I can't imagine you would need to contain her ?  You probably don't need as many toys as you think either - a wooden spoon and pan from the kitchen will be fine and with so many people going they are bound to be playing with her too.

Apologies for lack of capital letters - Zoe has stolen my shift key Huh?

    That's great thanks.

She's not crawling yet but shuffles around on her tummy a lot. The containment is more for her own safety as the people I'm going with aren't used to babies and I want to come back with all her fingers still in place Laugh

take some milton and sterilise in the kitchen sink - takes 15 minutes, sterile for 24 hours. Main things are any comforter that's NEEDED for sleep, nappies, clothes and Calpol.

I'd check if you can borrow a travel cot there.
