  • My brave afternoon - oxygen related

Eleanor and I have just been out for 2 and a bit hours without her strapped to any form of oxygen.

It was safely tucked in the boot of the car just in case though!

Anyway I was worried about doing it and well we've survived.  She's still playing and a lovely colour.

There were tears at church as people were so pleased to see her no oxygen.

Now i just have to see how getting it back on after tea goes it might be bedtime when there are Mummy and Daddy hands available to sort it out.

    photo will follow.

Well done Eleanor. I remember the first time doing that with Aoife- I am sure I spent the whole time looking at her waiting for her colur to turn!

We were also told that they have built up enough reserves now so their body/lungs should be ready to cope with it for the time off,

Also we still carry a cylinder of oxygen in the car now and we've been daytime oxygen free for over a year and totally oxygen free since April!

That's amazing.  I bet you felt so proud of her - and I'm proud of you, must have taken quite a bit of courage.

Apologies for lack of capital letters - Zoe has stolen my shift key Huh?
