Is it worth buying Clarks Cruisers?

A is 13 monthsa nd not walking yet but cruises round the furniture and walks holding one hand, even outside.  At the moment she is still in Shoo Shoo's but as the weather is getting cooler and she is walking more outside I am wondering if I should get her cruisers?

Also she is quite "hen toe'd" so I wonder is shoes might help?  Anyone had a child like this?

Depending on the growth rate of your child's feet, you may well get enough use out of cruisers to justify them.

S had/s micro-feet, so we ended up using a combination of cruisers and Pedipeds (google them - they are fab, more waterproof soles than Shoo Shoos) for some time, even when S was walkign confidently as it was nigh impossible for us to find walker shoes in her size. She has experienced no ill effects from using them by the way.

Cruisers are particularly fab when the child can walk, but likes to switch to crawling just because they can - particularly when playing etc as the front is normally rubberised and doesn't scuff like a proper shoe.

Have you asked at Clarks? Not that I wouldn't expect them to try and sell you a shoe, but they might have some info that will help you decide.

Lily did have Clarks Cruisers - for the same reasons as you, she was cruising round holding on to things or pushing her walker and liked to walk outside either holding on to our hands or her walker so I figured she needed something sturdier.

I got them on Ebay - they cost me about £6 and looked virtually unworn (I wouldn't buy 2nd hand walking shoes but I think with crusiers a lot of people buy them when their babies aren't even walking so they get very little use). I am glad I didn't pay £22 for them as they only lasted 6 weeks - she had gone up a whole size and also was walking properly so needed walking shoes by that point.

Like madonna Abigail ended up with cruising shoes, her feet weren't quite as small but it was a good coupld of months of walking before they were big enough for clarks first size walking shoes so I was glad we got the cruisers, she wore them for about 5 months I think so worked out ok money wise, we also found they seemed to encourage her walking but that could just be coincidence.  Oddly Lily has been cruising a few weeks and we've not got her any yet and can't see us getting them, prob cos with two of them there's not much chance for her to walk outside so she mainly cruises indoors and her shoo shoos do the job, oh and I'm a bit more stingy this time round!Laugh

Hi mrs JKN - I cheekily took her in to Clarks and got her measured and then bought off Ebay!!! Her first pair were a 3G.

I went for advice in Clarks about this for E as she's 14m and wants to be outside with her brother. She's almost walking completely inside now. But they only had twee pink.......so I left. ROTFL I was planning on going to Asda or a car boot to get her some soft off the peg shoes for the next few weeks but I'm also off to google those pedipeds.
