S (2 months now) has really found the art of sucking her fingers over the past 2-3 weeks although having discovered this, she's now sucking them right into the back of her throat and making herself gag quite badly, sometimes making herself sick.  Normal behaviour?  She seems happy enough doing it most of the time and sucking her fingers helps her settle when she's a little bit grizzly.

2 months already, time really does fly!

As for the sucking/gagging, perfectly normal, all mine have done it anyway! They do it for a while and then learn not to do it.

yes both mine did this though rarely were actually sick.  We usually said something to them in a conversational tone (eg well don't stick your fingers in and then you won't gag!) just to reassure them that nothing scary was happening.

O does the fingers in mouth / gagging trick. Unfortunately he is 9 months old and still doing it from time to time!

Normal - you know I think it's something they just have to learn...

Thought as much.  I shall listen to her gagging herself to sleep tonight Laugh (3 days of 7 hour sleeps so far...long may this last)
