Me too! I'm already watching some on ebay, they seem to work out at about £1 each in various quantities on a Buy It Now. Plain or black too. Smile

Have some fab design ideas with fabric paints and coloured embroidery thread. Maybe those diamante designs I bought cheap somewhere a few months ago. Idea

Also going to make rocky road, or choc fridge cake as it's known here, mind you, we're so addicted it will probably get eaten before it's given away! Laugh

Definitely having to make more presents this year - my wage is barely covering childcare and petrol and we have a holiday we can barely afford to pay for. Sad

I'm planning on making some of this for gifts this year - a bit different!

Other years I have made truffles (lots on the good food website), a food hamper specifically for a persons likes (can buy for the few months before Christmas to spread costs), a craft set for a older child (buy a plastic container with small compartments and fill each one with beads, sequins, jewels etc).

Hobbycraft also have some good ideas on their website or on cards instore

we did the bags last year - and will do some again this year - the bags are £1 from hobbycraft, just basic canvas bags. look great decorated.

We are also going to paint plant pots I think - as well as food hampers. the blackberry vodka is already on the go!

anyone got a good recipie for apple chutney?

    Axx

Love the flavoured vodkas idea - might do a few different flavours and make a set of mini bottles for certain people. Thanks

Last year I made a few hampers, but I think it would be to samey if I do that again this year, I have no new hamper gift ideas.

Oooh some of these ideas are good, I did hampers and bags last year. I also made Mini christmas cakes and wrapped in cellophane I may have a pic somewhere.

Can I ask which sort of bottle you use for the vodkas etc and where can I get them. Thanks

Not christmas but end of term gifts for teachers, but will be doing the same for family this christmas!!

I got all the white plant pots.cups/tiles from Baker Ross, i invested in their pottery pens (think £10 for 6 pens) which were fabulous and easy to use and only needed fixing for an hour or so in the oven. I added felt to the bottom of the tiles to make coasters and wrapped them all in cellophane.

My daughter is 7 who did these but my 3 year old will be having a go this christmas too!!

    They were very well recieved.
