Love is not about finding someone you can live with but finding someone you can't live without.

Sometimes better load times, sometimes it takes forever to load.

What security messages are you getting? You shouldn't be getting any at all.  What web address are you using? Does it start http:// or https://

    Thanks for the reply Dean.

Just the one that says 'You are about to view pages over a secure connection.... etc' But you have to click on it 5 or 6 times, and it comes up every time you try to open a thread.

I'm using http:// Is that wrong?

Mine's fine most of the time, but every so often I'll get stuck in a thread (usually a really short one so there's not even anything to read!) and I'll have to close internet explorer.

I don't understand why I never get trapped in the long threads, that would keep me occupied while Hitched thinks about allowing me out.

The speed is much better for me, but then I do have a very fast broadband connection.  Glad to see that the site is accessible again today as it's mainly been unavailable over the last week or so.

Thanks for asking. Feedback from me would be - I find the speed varies a lot sometimes I've got to reload hitched a couple of times just to get into the forums section and then the reply box can take ages to appear.

In terms of things that could be done to make using the forum easier - could you have it set up like other forums where the whole thread appears above or below the reply box (this would be really useful) and also that the smilies (or at least some of the most popular ones) are shown on the tool bar near the cut/paste etc options rather than having to wait for them to load up every time you want to use them.

I really hope some of these things could be improved so that some of the old hitchers are able to rejoin as I think speed etc really puts people off.

Same here - this was the quickest load-up I've had for ages - it was 15 seconds.

Absolutely fine for me all the times of the day.

I was mainly fine before the recent upgrade, but the last week has been hit and miss as to whether I can actually get onto the site.

Tonight, for instance, Hitched loaded very quickly and I read a couple of threads no problems, managed to reply no problem...then got stuck in a thread for over 3 minutes looking at an hourglass.

I had to close down the browser then when I tried to get access again it took an age to load.

Scarp what I said just now - just took me three minutes to get back on.  If I wasn't intent on posting this, I would have given up again.

It is much much better for me, almost normal now!

Catch it, bin it, kill it.

Thanks for the feedback.  We've got a couple more tweaks we can make over the coming weeks.

We will monitor the performance more in the evenings and see if we can make the page loading speed more consistent.

    I often get this error message;

Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.  Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

    Requested URL: /Chat/error-notfound.aspx

    Server Error in '/Chat' Application.

    The resource cannot be found.

It takes ages to load up the reply box. And all the icons on it (cut, paste, italics etc etc).  Then if you try and post before it has loaded it completely it wipes what you have written.

Is there any way of not having the popup boxes to post?   It takes so long to post I cant help think they have something to do with it.

Also, when reloading the main forum pages to see if any post updates it also takes ages.  Maybe the ads?

This is from both my work where internet is fast, and at home where we have the fastest broadband available. This is on all 3 laptops we have in the house so there arent any constants to the way it behaves.

I think what all the forum users are wanting are a fast, simple forum, which you can write a reply quickly, not need to wait ages for it to load, and post and not so much how it looks like. I realise that looks are everything in this sort of thing, but, there comes a time that functionality has to be the main thing.

Thank you for asking for feedback, and I am sure everyone will be as honest as they can be.
