Hello all! Hope everyone is well?

I had my clinic appointment friday morning, and saw a really lovely consultant, although, once again, another doctor that I had not seen before. She said that as I've had cycles which prove I'm ovulating that clomid would be of no use, and to go straight for IUI.  I will have 3 cycles of IUI and then straight to IVF. She also said that recently the guidelines changed concerning thyroid levels and fertility, and mine were too high, and I need to have these checked and treatment commenced if needed. I've got a whole list of bloods to be taken again, so we'll see where I go with that. I need to lose another 2 stone by Dec 1st to start IUI.

PS Spring, it was me, I lost 3 stone 8 lbs since mid May.

Catch it, bin it, kill it.

2 stone by December? Surprise Loads of luck with that. What are you doing to help?

I'd be happy with losing a stone by December TBH.

Your appointment went well then? It's nice to have a month to start so you can set your sights on something.

    Hi to all,

RuthG  I have responded to your IUI thread - good luck!! Congrats on the weight loss so far, that's impressive.

Spring - I've replied to you FET thread - are you thinking of starting soon?

We have an appt booked with our dr in mid-sept to discuss things. I can't imagine they have any further explanation for what happened I just hope they've reviewed their procedures to ensure it never happens again.

Morning for some reason I can't sleep so am up early (this is early for me...)

RuthG - 3 and a half stone is fantastic - another 2 by December wow but you seem like you have the discipline to give it your all.  Good luck with the IUI and the weightloss x

Spring - when would your FET be do you think?

    Poppy18 - I don't think there's anything I can say really.  Hug

me - no DTC news, 8DPO on a tamoxifen cycle but just waiting til November's 1st IVF attempt really.  We're off house-hunting for somewhere to rent again today as our preferred option has fallen through but our sale is going really well & we don't want to end up homeless Eek

Happy W/e to all the laters and lurkers x

Good morning all. I'm sorry I haven't been around for a few days. I have read this thread but not contributed. I don't think I fit in with you guys as I'm not in the same place regarding treatment. This may well be my last contribution here.

Ruth I hope you have great sucess with the IUI when you start. Good luck with the weight loss, you seem to have done really well with it so far.

Spring, how are you, each time I start to feel sorry for myself, I remember I'm not the only one who's going through this Kiss. Will you starting a new treatment, have you been told when this will be?

Poppy18, I read what happened to you and I can't even begin to imagine how awful that must be. I'm so sorry.

Loop, I hope you have some luck house hunting and find somewhere that you like quickly. At least your sale is going through, so that's one less thing to worry about.

As for me, I went back to the hospital on Thursday for another blood test and was told to have nil by mouth until the results came back. They wanted me to wait there, but i insisted on going home. I'm glad I did as I didn't get called until much later. It was confirmed that I'd miscarried so I didn't need to go back in for another scan.

Is it normal to feel so tired? By 8pm I'm ready to sleep, but I don't actually get into bed until 10.30pm. I spend the time in between on the sofa with a hot water bottle on my back. When I wake up I'm tired, if I go out I have backache and legache. I feel like a tired old woman!

On a more positive note, my consultant has made an appointment for me to see him in December and he's asked me to go ahead with the cardiac assesment so hopefully things should start happening in December.
