I really like it as well but OH vetoed it saying their nickname will be Jism It does annoy me that for every name he can come up with a reason why someone will torment the child with that name. He doesn't seem to udnerstand if someone is going to bully your child they will find any reason

Pittabre, I'm selling it on the basis that we can use sam/sammy as a shortened version!

One of the things that drove me the most insane when we were choosing our LO's name was the number of people that thought their imaginary bullies should be the basis of our naming decision...

The Bible is an amazing fund of unusual names - as a joke, we threatened to call Anna Maher-Shalah-Hashbaz, which means quick to the plunder, swift to the prey.  Just off the top of my head:

Ezra, Nehemiah, Solomon,Isaiah,Joel (not that unusual actually), Amos, Jonah, Micah, Zachariah, Malachi, Jude.
