BB: Sophie and geography

Oh my

I think it's more laugh than cry. I'm kind of hoping that some of it was put on.

She really thought Japan was in the UK?

She didn't know there was a country called Iceland, just a shop in the high street?

She almost missed the USA and seemed to think the continent of Africa was Europe. I'm almost certain she wouldn't have been able to find the UK!

Her parents should hang their heads in shame. I nearly said teachers as well, but if she really is as thick as she seems, they were fighting a losing battle!

I meant cry more than laugh but every time I try and edit I get an error message.

And just to add, David & Charlie wouldn't have fared any better and Lisa was also suspiciously quiet.

I'm ashamed to say that I wouldn't have known where to put a lot of those places on the map.  Obv. i've heard of them and know which continent etc., unlike Sophie.  We never did anything like that at school and I took GCSE Geography.  It was all precipitation and climate.

I was pleased that when quizzed by MrSun I actually did know where most places were in the UK though

It was so put on. Much as i love her, I hate hate hate the way she and David (Shrek) feel the need to act so much dimmer than they are. Rather than making them endearing, they just look like twats....

And i thought i was bad! haha!!  I know the big places like USA and china, it's just when you're talking about the little countries i don't know, i know a rough idea which part of the world they're in but that about it! x
