  • Re: Eyebrow threading

I wish I could have my eyebrows thread but I suffer with really bad ingrowing eyebrow hairs so I can't.

When I first had it done I geniunely thought she was rubbing a razor blade over my brow area Weep It was excrutiatingly painful. The results last for ages though.

Thats probably the best way to describe it.....

.....I also didn't enjoy the fact that the lady doing it yesterday, clearly wasn't a fan of deodorant Bawl

It was the sound that I found a little strange but I'm a convert now - I love it.

Bit disturbed by the diy approach http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F37Sl1c7BA0&feature=channel worried I may make a bit of a mess!

I'm really bad with any sort of pain, and the first time I was in the chair, the lady was about to start and I was in the process of chickening out when she made me lie back!!  My hands were so sweaty that I could barely hold the skin taut for her and I was yelping with every removal (esp at the outside of the eyebrows - ouch!!).

Results were good though and I was a bit better behaved the second time (although I still yelped!).  It was also a lot quicker as I only needed a tidy-up rather than a full shape.

I must be weird - I found it a bit uncomfortable in places but none of it was what I'd describe as painful.  But then I've never found tweezing remotely painful - in fact I can barely feel it - which from talking to friends is unusual.  Odd as I have a pretty low pain threshold for waxing on other body parts!

I am too much of a wuss to have this done anymore.  I have been twice and the last time, the beautician advised that I probably should have waxing as its much quicker and hopefully a little less painful.

I was told to take painkillers and also to rub some bonjella onto the area before she threaded them to try and help with the pain - but it still hurt like buggery!!  I cant have my legs waxed as the pain is too intense for me.

I said the same to the lady who did mine - she said it was the left side that hurt more as your heart was that side - not sure whether  to believe that one or not!

It does get easier, but only a tiny bit lol
