I've been practising ..

.... my signature.  Never thought about it before now and sheesh, its difficult. Just when I had perfected my own lovely signature of 15 years or so, I have to go change it and its not got the same kick to it.

I keep spelling it wrong as theres too many L's and I've no excuse for spelling it wrong when its my families surname...  I'm finding this very frustrating indeed.

so practice your new name, girls!

I'm going to keep my own  signature I think, I don't think it matters as long as it is your signature? Besides his name has only 4 letters in it and I can't do anything with it!

One of my friends said she struggled when she had to do her new name - she changed from initials and surname to firstname surname and it really helped the 'flow' - I'm now going to do the same thing for mine

I applied for a new passport in my married name before the wedding so I had to get it sorted out months ago.

I really struggled with it at first as it has an "f" in the middle and I couldn't get it to flow properly, but once I'd worked out how to do a swirly "f" it was fine!

I don't have a problem with my new signature but i keep forgetting that i'm an Mrs M now, not Miss T anymore!

I was in the dentist yesterday and booked in as Miss T, to which the receptionist replied there was no Miss T on the records. After about a minute of thinking they'd got it wrong i suddenly realised i'd already changed my name on their records. I was so red faced! The woman on reception must of thought i was mad, although i did explain that i'd only been married 2 weeks and wasn't used to my married name yet!

There's no real flow to my current name and my married name isn't going to be any different, insead of Miss D C I will be Mrs D T...might need to start practicing writing with my left hand and see if that helps [::)]

Ooh I don't think I would dare practise my new name, I'm a bit superstitous and feel like it would be tempting fate.  I'll have to wait til after I'm married I think. x
