I had an early scan yesterday due to my medical history of fibroids,m/c and myomectomy.
I had an internal and external scan.
I was 7 weeks by my dates and they dated me at 6+3 so close enough this early on when they are so tiny to measure.
I have a bicornuate uterus and in my pregnancies with the boys they have both grown in the right horn, so the sonographer was looking there for the baby.
A heartbeat was visible but she was concerned of the position of the baby being in my cervix and not in the uterus. She got a second opinion and the baby is in the uterus but very close to the cervix and apparently this is not good with the shape of my uterus because the baby will not have enough room to grow and a high chance of the pregnancy not continuing. There is also a cyst on my left ovary.
I have to go back for a rescan in a week.
I just wondered if this had happened to anyone else or any advice on what to expect.
Thank you.
