Bombay_Mix:Right MG, sorry if this is a thread that has been done.... how did you get the underwater one?! I assume an underwater camera is required....
I can dunk Angus momentarily without him complaining, but how do you get to the being-under-long-enough-to-get-a-photo stage?!
Lovely pics!!
It involves money, I'm afraid! We do Waterbabies swimming lessons, and at the end of the first term they run a photo shoot session - for an additional fee, of course! They use a professional underwater photographer. There's a blue tarpaulin down the side of the pool and across the bottom - that ensures the lovely even deep blue. The course instructor actually does the dunking. I think that's because they do 3 submersions, and adjust how the position the baby on 2nd and 3rd, if necessary - e.g. so the photographer knows if your baby has a tendency to turn a particular way. Also, the instructor is far more confident than us mummies might be about just leaving them under water! I think she was down for about 5 seconds each time? We have really enjoyed the lessons, but it's £100ish for 10, then (in our region anyway) £45 to attend the shoot. Then you pay if you buy a photo - also not cheap! www.waterbabies.co.uk if you want to check your area.
Btw, you say about Angus complaining - I think when R complains, it's actually the resurfacing that causes her to spit and puff! Because as you can see in that pic, whilst underwater she's actually pretty serene!
I'd like to experiment with an underwater camera myself... I think the biggest issue though is you're not allowed to take them to public swimming pools.
