CP sorry crossed posts.  Yeah that would make sense, I'm sure you're right.

Make sure you try and take it easy today, you mustn't overdo it!

    Morning all,

Katamari - so glad you are feeling better and that things have settled down for you. I definitely need to do a big sort out of my ardrobe myself.

Chuckie egg - sounds like a good plan to record and email any comments. Just means you're covered in the future if you need to take things further, which I hope you don't.

Pipster - I've had many a random crying session. Think my H is starting to get used to it now. One was because he was using the broom instead of the vacuum to clean the lounge floor - I dissolved into tears! Glad you're feeling happier this morning.

Duck no more - have a good day. What are you doing that needs an assessor? Sounds rather daunting!

Dinx - my mum always told me that antibiotics take up to 48 hours to k ick in properly so fingers crossed they start working soon. Sorry you're feeling rubbish. Think stress incontinenece in pregnancy is very common - I've been trying to remember my pelvic floor exercises but I'm rubbish at doing them. As for the pressure type feeling, I haven't felt it, but then I'm a few weeks behind you so maybe someone else will have some answers.

Mixie - haven't felt anything like that. Maybe have a look on the NHS direct website as you can usually answer a series of questions about your symptoms and it will advise you whether to call, see a doctor etc. otherwise, def give the doc a ring in the morning. Better to be over-cautious. Take care.

Me - still got this tummy bug, which my sister (GP) reckons must be food poisoning as it's coming up to two weeks now. Completely fed up with it and having to take immodium (sorry if TMI) just to leave the house! I'm so careful with what I eat as well and it makes me feel bad that I've obviously not been careful enough. Anyway, telling myslef it's GOT to clear up this week and then I'll have something else to talk/post about!

Went to mothercare with H yesterday to cheer myself up and introduced him to the world of travel systems or 'travel solutions' as he has started calling them!). Think he was rather overwhelmed but it was only an introductory session - many more visits to follow I think!

    Have  good day all,

    Katy

OMG I missed 3 of you it took me so long to post LOL!!!

Smarties - its a strange stange this isnt it not "feeling" pregnant having a belly one min then the next it seems to go. I am sure everything is ok dreams are a common part of pregnancy. have a fund day with your friend

Wren - glad you enjoyed your Indian mmmmm I might have that tonight.

PL - We put our house on the market before I fell pregnant, I am 23 weeks now and still not exchanged contracts and I am starting to panic about where the hell we will be when the baby is due seeing as its not going to be quite so normal I don't want to be humping boxes around at 9 months gone or after having a section LOL, is it something you could put off until you are settled with the new arrival?

thanks CP - this thread must be the fastest growing one on the board! I have considered trying to do the ironing while sitting down when I'm shattered but feel I would look like a bit of a wally - maybe you should give it a go today?!

PL - we are in the middle of flat buying & selling hell so I know how you feel. It's the not knowing when anything will happen that makes it so difficult. Am liking the idea of you having a viewing in the middle of a homebirth though - would show how versatile the space is, don't you think!

Wren - glad you enjoyed your Indian. I really fancy one too, but with my current tummy bug, I feel it would not be the best option!

Smarties - we're due date twins! Don't think I realised that before! Although my memory is terrible at the moment. I was watching a Bill Bailey stand up show on TV last night and commented to H how good it was. He had to remind me that we went to see the exact same show live when he was on tour. Oops.

Morning all! H has gone climbing this morning so I'm home alone and planning on doing some cleaning... honest! The boiler has packed in again (second time in 4 weeks) and the letting agent can't send someone round until tomorrow so I need to keep moving so I don't get frost bite! I would have gone to the climbing centre but it is basically a disused quarry with a tent over the top so will be cold there too, plus I just get jealous because I can't climb at the moment! Still, my headache has gone for now so thats a plus!

Katamari: I'll explain lie in's to bratski if you'll explain them to my cats - if there isn't food in their bowl by 7am all hell breaks out in this house!

CE glad you got things under control with work but you're right, its just a job, a means to an end so tell them to go stick it if it happens again!

pipster: being emotional is normal i hope - I can't watch wildlife programs anymore in case one animal eats another and the BT advert (the one where 'jane and the guy from 'my family' are phoning round telling people they're getting married) makes me teary! Enjoy the party!

duck no more: good luck with the work - remember, if it wasn't for the last minute nothing would get done!

dinx: fingers crossed the anti-bis kick in soon lots of icecream is the way forward! No idea about the briused-feeling pelvic floor but I had an early antenatal class at 14 weeks and was told to do pelvic floor exercises a few times a day as it can really help aid recovery after birth, prevent prolapse etc so maybe you just need to start doing some clenching exercises!

mixie: did you sleep at a funny angle? I sometimes can't take a deep breath in the morning if I've been sleeping funny - usually eases after an hour or so, but I've never felt ill with it. call the doc if you're worried.

smarties: sorry you didn't sleep well, I'm convinced there is something wrong ATM too because I still haven't felt movement - i have a scan a week tomorrow and I always start panicking the week before a scan in case something is wrong - no-one warned me about this side of pregnancy! enjoy your shopping - I really need to buy more clothes but I hate clothes shopping with a passion (although I'm dangerous if let loose in the climbing department of Tiso!)

Wren: yay for no morning sickness! I haven't had an takeaway for ages - we only have a rubbish chip shop near us!

CP: hang the washing in the bathroom and have a shower - the steam will do the ironing for you (I own an iron but it is used for rewaxing our snowboards!) then sit on the sofa and veg out - thats an order!

PL: good luck with the house sale - and I think you're officially ready to graduate now!

katy80: hope you feel better soon! We have more or less chosen our travel system - H wasn't really interested until he saw the one I was suggested and became interested only due to the suspension and break disks! Can't get him enthusiastic about much else though - have more of less just informed him of what we need!

Hi twinnie Wave - nice to find someone with the same EDD to compare notes with. My memory is shocking too at the moment, I really struggle finding my words, H gets very frustrated sitting there waiting for me to tell him something that wasn't even especially interesting in the first place. We'll have to keep in touch and see how things are going. When is your next scan and do you think you'll try to find out the flavour?

CP - your day sounds a bit like mine yesterday - loads of housework... when do we get to rest then?? I can only see it getting wose as we get to the manically trying to finish the nursery stage. Which reminds me, must go and get H and his paintbrushes...

loobyg - I know what you mean about no movement, but I keep reading that some women have no movement til about 23 weeks or so, and in fact a girl at my work just felt her first movement at 23+6. Not helpful though is it, particularly when you have a scan imminent. I am terrible for coming up with dreadful scenarios pre scan!!

Well I am just back from a semi-successful shopping trip. I was making the most of a 30% nurses discount at Peacocks, but there were really no maternity clothes to speak of so I ended up with 2 basic maternity vests and a dress. Dress is actually for 'normal' wear and has an elastic bandeau bit across the chest which will find itself on my bump when I wear it as a skirt Embarrassed Also, I feel slightly guilty using a nurse discount when not actually a nurse, but I DO work for the NHS so surely that's the same thing...?? Wink

Was nice to see my friend who is 29+3 pregnant with her second Baby boy, and her sister and her 12 week old son. We have all been TTC together with various successes and failures along the way so is fun to catch up and all be excited for each other!! I even had my first coffee since my BFP, I'm such a rebel! ROTFL

Right, am off to get some lunch then 'assist' H in his painting duties, hope you all have a lovely day despite the vile weather.

    Morning all!

I'm currently at my parents waiting for lunch to be served and trying desperately to distract myself from having to write reports! Admittedly, I've only 4 left to do but boy, am I bored! Still need to plan a science fieldwork trip and some maths lessons for next week. Sigh. Roll on summer!

Katamari- my MS and nausea has come back too recently with mild headaches too. It's a pain isn't it?

Chuckie Egg- Good luck with work. My boss was making comments before I was pg but a quick work with my deputy has stopped that!

Pipster- I've been more hormonal and irrational too recently- it's perfectly normal. Mine has mainly been over doing the housework/having things tidy and seeing H. I found it peaked around 22-25 weeks last time so I'm looking forward to that again! LOL!

Duck no more- Enjoy your lunch!

Dinx- hope the AB's kick in soon and the coughing stops.

Mixie- No idea sorry, but hope you feel better soon

Smarties- I think that unpleasant dreams are par for the course and fairly common. Mainly do to with our fears about pregnancy and our desire to care for our baby's. I'm sure everything is fine and the scan will put you at rest. Enjoy the shopping and breakfast!

Wren- lack of sleep sounds pants as well as a poorly baby. Hopefully you can claim some rest back later?

Princess Layabout- House moving sounds stressful. :-(  I'd move to 3rd tri about now.

Citrus Pink- hope you get to take it easy soon.

Right dinner is served so back to more personals later (if I haven't fallen asleep after dinner!)

Scan on June 30th. We have agreed not to find out the flavour and I never thought I would, but I am already wobbling! Don't think H will let me find out anyway. Patience is really not my strong point! How about you?

Well I'm back from the race for life - we only walked it and luckily the rain stopped before we started.  My friend had to drop out as she was being sick so her sister took her place and walked it with us - she is 8 and half months pregnant!   We then had a lovely picnic - now back home trying to get the motivation to do my planning for school next week.

Our scan is July 6th so a week longer to wait and no we're not going to find out either. Although you sound very much like me and although I don't want to know, I am so eager to know whether the alien swimming about is pink or blue I can just seen myself shrieking 'yes!' when they ask if we want to know and surprising even myself ROTFL

    H would NOT be happy!!

Think my secret solution is not to ask and then spend the whole scan frantically trying to see for myself! Will probably take the umbilical cord to be something it's not!

Tigress Lady - well done on doing the race for life and planning on top... I am trying to plan now and failing miserably!

    Hi ladies,

How do you girls get to do personals so quickly - each time I try loads more have commented and I feel like i have left people out!!

Well its 17+2 for me. I still havnt felt any movement and am beginning to worry even though everyone aorund me says this is normal. I also havent got one of those dark lines down my tummy.

I have been a bit worried today. I have had strange feelings - aches or pains Im not sure - in my stomach. Its not like an upset stomach - just feels strange. I wonder TMI ALERT if its to do with DTD? Hubbie and I took advantage of a sunday lie in and I wonder if its that? I could just be imagining it though I suppose. But it is there.

Well hope you ladies are all fine. Lets hope its lovely and sunny this week as we move closer to our DD!!!!
