i do a lot of hair at home, but could never really afford the ridiculous amounts wanted for a proper barbers chair so have always made do with a kitchen chair, which has always been too high at the back for me to use a cutting stool, and obviously didnt pump up or down.we use proper chairs and stools at work, and i find them so much easier and more comfortable, but at £600 uwards for a decent one,its never been an option, plus we didnt really have the room to store one properly for in between clients.

Mr p went off to work an hour earlier today, saying something about having an early appointment that he needed to go in for,but he was lying to me Laugh

he had heard from a friend that our local college was refurbishing their salons and were selling some of their stuff off,so he got the van from work and was there at 8am when it opened, and he bought me one of their barbers chairs,a cutting stool and a new hairdressing trolley.

while i was away he had cleared out one of our walk in cupboards in readiness for this equipment, organised the van to get the stuff, rearranged his appointments, and even got up early today to make sure he was first there so he could get me the best one they had.

and he got the chair, stool and trolley for a grand total of £30..and there is absolutely nothing wrong with them, not even marked or scuffed.

its quite sad how ridiculously excited i am about my new toys Laugh
