  • Cyprus in late May/early June?

Has anyone taken their child/ren to Cyprus in late May / early June? Am just wondering what the temperature was like when you went? I went so many years ago that I can't remember very clearlyEmbarrassed

    Thanks.

Mid 20s in the day would be perfect but I wasn't sure if it was hotter. Guides in the brochure say 26 degrees for May and then 30 degrees in June, but we would be straddling May and June so aprox 28? Am debating if that might be too warm for G. Would hate for her to get burnt.

i didn't take the baby, i was pg, but went in late april. It was pretty crap and cold tbh.  Warm enough to relax in the pool area, but WAaaaaaaaaaay to cold to swim. (not heated pools even in a 5* hotel)   We were in the royal suite as well with a private pool and it was even to cold to use that. (the main pool was the same)

Maybe fine month or so later, but didn't rate cyprus at all and won't go back.  (our suite was quite stunningly amazing, but that was pure luck getting upgraded to from a £100 per night room to a 1 grand a night room!!!)

I think if i was going to take LO to Cyprus i would go may/june or sept/oct - anytime between june and sept would be way too hot

Thanks all. I am going to add it to the list I think although will go with Paphos where there tends to be a nice breeze.

Hubble - where did you go in Cyprus? I have been to a few places there and always had a lovely time, although it has been better weather when I have been but then it is normally June or September.

we are off to cyprus on wednesday. yay!  we are taking LO to meet OH's family who all live there and to christen him. we chose this time of year as it will be just right (we hope!) weather wise. any later and it would be too hot.

i think the guides are spot on. you may well find the breeze cools it down a bit and you need a cardi at night. perfect weather for taking a baby there though. im just packing and have put in a 1 tog grobag for night, so im hoping the weather man is correct!(my FIL!!)

protaros is another good place to go with children. on the eastern side of the island. it has a lovely beach called 'fig tree bay ' and is all round very family friendly.

have a lovely time if you do go.
