OT - Craft enthusiasts - help quick! Need inspiration for tea lights

Does anyone have any ideas for a craft activity that can be done with tea lights at a school fundraiser on Friday?

It's connected with Earth Hour somehow - but what we'd like to do is get the kids to do something crafty with the tea light.  What they do with it would, however, have to be safe and flame proof.

And as it's on friday, any materials that had to be purchased would have to be in our hands by friday morning.

Gah.  Help!

Kids could then decorate boxes with ribbons, stickers, etc,

Get them all to bring in a clean, clear jam jar (and have some on standby!) And give them some glass paint to paint ferns, flowers and leaves on the side. It could then be explained that they are reusing a jam jar, which would be thrown away/recycled and turning it into a lovely candle holder?!?!

Thanks for this - can't quite believe I didn't think of this myself as I once painted old jam jars as tea light holders for a party we had years ago -they worked great in the garden!  Great idea.  And recycling.
